Social Profile:

On June 14, 1993, my father and I opened a little breakfast and lunch café with the help of our family, friends, and my adorable and supportive 18-year-old girlfriend…. 30 years and well over a million eggs later, Ray’s Café still has the privilege of not only serving food to our community’s friends and families but also creating countless memories with them. Our reputation among Jersey Shore locals and visitors alike, for both our food and our service, is one that we relish and take great pride in. Our wait staff is helpful and friendly, providing a comfortable atmosphere for everyone, whether you want to host a special occasion with us, or simply sit down and enjoy a meal with family or friends. – Ray

Food overall was decent, but I wasn’t a fan of the oil they used;it upset my stomach a bit. The onion rings were a highlight, really tasty! I tried the veggie omelette, but the vegetables were a little too raw for my liking, and the flavor didn’t work for me. The sandwich was also quite salty, which made it hard to enjoy. Coffee was a disappointment too, especially considering they advertise it as the “best in town.” Overall, not my favorite experience, and I probably wouldn’t go back.

I’ve been here twice. Great little spot, great prices, great service. Was there today and saw to guys in Army uniforms have their lunches paid. Class act place!

Went to the beach to watch the Sunrise with my daughters and literally a hop skip and a jump from the beach we find this cute cafe. Staff was amazing, very bubbly and lots of laughs, they have an amazing breakfast menu which includes a breakfast sandwich that compliments the Jersey Shore. As long as you order it in true Southern Jersey form “Pork Roll egg and cheese on a roll with salt pepper ketchup”. Definitely will be back…

Updating my review since I ordered through Seamless and when I got here the order was cancelled and no body bothered to call, only email after the pick up time. Lady also seemed indifferent about the inconvenience. There were 3 tables waiting while she was at lunch and the cook tried to help but didn’t know anything about order. Maybe understaffed.

I think this is more of a breakfast lunch spot . Salads aren’t their specialty. Ceasar salad was low on lettuce and chicken not even broken down. My friend had the turkey club and we shared both dishes. it was perfect for the price. Would try another dish to give better rating. Place was packed so it must be good

Im sadden to say that our experience here was abysmal. The table we were given was dirty as well not prepared for the next customer. In addition, the waitress seemed very rushed & aggressive, didn’t go over the menu or make the interaction warm / inviting. Several items were not given even when requested (sugar, syrup, to-go container). The food was decent but nothing out of the ordinary to make it stand out from the overwhelming competition New Jersey offers. The outdoor dining was bland & boring. The interior was incredible I will admit however with the poor service & experience – it’s washed over. My advice to the management is perhaps coach the house staff to be more approachable & take every client like it’s their first visit (unless they admit they are regulars).

I really enjoyed my breakfast at Ray’s Café. Everything was very delicious. I was sitting outside, enjoying a beautiful weather. My server was very attentive and I really appreciate it. It’s not an upscale restaurant, but a very popular. Highly recommended.

I ordered my breakfast to go for just myself today. I’m really particular about my breakfasts, and I have to say, my food was wonderful. I ordered 3 scrambled eggs- not well done, hash browns- well done, buttered white toast, and OJ. The eggs were perfect, and the hash browns were so delicious- they tasted totally home made and fresh! I loved that they actually took the time to butter my toast rather than just throwing the butter on in a few spots. The waitress who took my order was as nice as can be, and she got my food to me as soon as it was cooked so it was piping hot. I will be back- probably tomorrow!

Tough to beat Ray’s for an absolutely great breakfast in the area. They do everything well but I LOVE their pork roll sandwiches. (When down the shore…) Delicious. This spot has outdoor seating too, which is perfect if you have a pet or if you’re working off Saturday night, Sunday morning.
