Social Profile:

What began as a friendship between Stephen Carroll and Thomas Blanding, born in the rigors of corporate restaurant kitchen work (and late-night video game football sessions) soon became a dream that started stirring in 1996. Out of a mutual love of food, cooking, and serving, came RayNathan’s. Over the last 27 years, the timeline, circumstances, concepts, and menus have changed but three things have remained constant- the friendship, the name RayNathan’s, and the love and support from our wives (Elizabeth and Tekedra) and children.

We had a fantastic experience at RayNathan’s in Cramerton! The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The smoked chicken was tender with just the right amount of smoke, and the sides were just as impressive. The staff was friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. We’ll definitely be back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Their mac and cheese was incredibly rich and full of a gentle smoky flavor that made every bite memorable. I tried fried okra for the very first time and it honestly felt like the perfect introduction because it was crisp, warm, and surprisingly addictive. I am already looking forward to returning and bringing my friends and family along for another great meal.

Ordered the 3 plate with chicken breast, turkey, and pulled pork. Also, got 2 sides Mac n Cheese and the street corn. The only thing I’m noticing the restaurant when asking how the chicken was the young girl said well it’s ok…that’s not really selling on a customer. Then someone a little older said, “It’s good you will like it. ” After getting seated we got the plate quickly but the only thing in the food is was not hot. When you pay 30 dollars for a meal it should immediately come out piping hot not room temperature!

We really enjoyed our lunch. Easy to order, everything came out pretty fast and nice and hot. Brisket was perfectly cooked, large portion and bbq street corn was delicious.

After all the rave I heard, I was honestly disappointed. The reputation exceeded the reality. Mac n Cheese was good but better at the end, greens were good all the way through, brisket was good but not juicy, ribs were good but not very meaty and nothing I ate was as good as I heard. What I heard was the reason why I made the visit. Atmosphere was straight and the service was great. I would probably come back to try something different.
It was odd being inside of a building I used to frequent without the smell of a fish camp. The sign was inside the dining area and I really appreciated that opportunity for nostalgia. With all that said, anybody reading this should definitely give it a try.

Delicious and very unique place. The place is covered with art pieces from a band and is a great conversation starter. This place had like huge biscuits instead of hushpuppies, the sauces were really good. We always go in a group of 4 and get something different to try. The smoked turkey was my favorite, and the ribs orosbly 2nd dor me but we’re popular for my husband. They have a glaze on them and just delicious. The Mac and cheese, fried okra, collard greens and street corn were really good! No vinegar on the greens but other than that very good food it used to be years ago graham fish camp so nice to see it be a bbq place. The bbq was very tender, the brisket was amazing the salt ring melted in your mouth. We got to go some banana pudding and cobbler they were ok, banana pudding was runny and not fluffy like normal?? All in all a very cool experience. Will be back.

First time trying Ray Nathan’s, we live 3 minutes away. I had a spiritual experience with the banana pudding – literally THE BEST banana pudding, top 10 desserts, OF MY LIFE. i took one bite and immediately called the restaurant and told them to give the person who made it a forehead kiss. Also super comfort food for me and my fiancé – good meats, sides just like mom makes, and generous portions with great quality. If I wasn’t already engaged, I’d propose to Ray Nathan the man himself. That nanner puddin was BODIED by me

Went off of a referral from family, but was disappointed. My husband and I both got 3 meat meals. We had brisket, ribs, chopped pork, and turkey. The brisket and turkey was mid, the ribs were severely overcooked and dry. My sides were mac n cheese and yams. The yams were great, the mac n cheese was okay, I didn’t like the garlic flavor. My husband sides were cole slaw and baked beans. The beans weren’t seasoned, tasted like they were straight out of a can and the coleslaw was missing something. The corn dog was good! This wasn’t worth the $90 spent.

On the fence with this review. Some things I liked. Some things I didn’t. The pulled pork and beans were an 8. I paid for a sausage link ($6) not worth a buck fifty. I don’t know what was going on with the mac n cheese but I did not like it. The service was slow. Tea glasses stayed empty for the most part. I’d consider giving it another try next time in the area.

Our family ordered a smoked Boston Butt from Ray Nathan’s to be picked up the day before Easter. When we picked it up everyone was so super friendly and they even allowed us to get two kinds of sauces since some of us eat the sweet red sauce and some eat the Signature sauce. Everything was packaged nicely. They gave us instructions on how to reheat and prepare the butt. I reheated it today. I did have some trouble getting the butt to an internal temp of 155 degrees by heating it in a 250 degree oven so I ended up having to raise the oven temp to 350 degrees and it heated up to 155 degrees internally no problem. The bbq was absolutely amazing and had sooooooo much flavor. We ended up with a ton of meat after I separated it and cut it up. We highly recommend ordering from Ray Nathan’s and will do it again in the future.
