Will give another try. Developed tummy problems for both people after dinner. Likely from uncooked chicken masala. Kid did not eat and he is fine.

Decent food.
-Gobhi Manchurian was sweet, more Chinese less indo Chinese
-Cone dosa was good for kids
-Mutton combo; soups was good although meat needs to be bit little more tender. Two gravies seems no needed, mutton curry and biryani was tasting great.
-Chicken parota was ok. Curry is very very mild, no salt or flavor

Nice ambiance and cutlery was tamber coated & are neat and clean. Service is good too.

Except for the Karandi omelette, everything we ordered was vegetarian. The raw banana bajji was hot and crispy, just as expected. The food was simple yet flavorful, and the presentation was very good.

We tried the masala dosa and chicken biryani, and both were really nice and tasty. The flavors were well done, though I wish there was an option to customize the spice level. The restaurant itself is clean and spacious, making it a comfortable place to dine. Overall, a good experience and worth visiting.

The restaurant is really good! I tried the mutton and chicken combo, which came with mutton:chicken pulao, curry, soup and parotta — everything was flavorful and well-cooked. The portions were generous, and the spices were just right. The highlight for me was the filter coffee — rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced. Definitely a place worth visiting again!

If you haven’t tried this yet, you’re truly missing out. It’s some of the best food in the Bay Area. The mutton combo, Chicken pepper fry & Beetroot Halwa (hidden gem) are must try.

Veg thali was decent – but roti was stale and reheated. Idli was good. I liked the previous vasantha bhavan more.

We visited Raya South Indian Restaurant for the second time and had another great experience.

We ordered the Mutton Biryani Combo and Chicken Biryani Combo, and both were really good. The mutton biryani had an authentic South Indian flavor and tasted fresh and well cooked. We also tried the Chicken Thanni Kuzhambu from the special menu—it was super flavorful and delicious.

Our whole family enjoyed the food, and everyone was happy with the meal. The service was polite and friendly, which made the visit even better.

Highly recommend Raya—we’ll definitely be back!

Reya Restaurant is truly a gem! The mutton and chicken thalis were outstanding—packed with flavor, perfectly spiced, and served in generous portions. Each dish tasted authentic and freshly prepared. The service was friendly and quick, and the overall ambiance made the meal even more enjoyable. A perfect spot for anyone craving delicious thalis. I’ll definitely be coming back again!

The food was delicious. Loved the egg masala curry (dhaba style) that was recommended by Basha. Also liked the Parotta & Andhra pepper chicken combo. Friendly service too and walked out satisfied. Will be back soon!

The happy hour was ok. Tea was strong and sweet. Potato bonda was not like aloo bonda. Paniyarams were good. Idlies etc were good too. Chutneys were good. Veg biryani was very spicy but a different style. It was good.
