An Unforgettable Indian Dining Experience at Rasoi – A True Hidden Gem!
Nestled within the stunning and picturesque Steventon House Hotel—a charming Victorian country house dating back to the 1870s.

From the moment we arrived, the friendly and approachable staff made us feel instantly welcome. Their warmth and attentiveness added a personal touch that elevated the entire evening. You can tell this is a place where hospitality is truly valued.

The food? Absolutely phenomenal. Every dish we had was bursting with flavour, expertly prepared, and beautifully presented. From the rich, aromatic curries to the freshly baked naan, every bite delivered the authentic taste of classic Indian cuisine done to perfection. Delicious. The menu offers a fantastic variety for all tastes.

What makes it even better is that it’s all excellent value for mone, a rare find for food of this calibre in such a unique and historic setting.

If you’re looking for a culinary gem in a breathtaking location, Rasoi at the Steventon House Hotel should be at the top of your list. A perfect blend of heritage charm, five-star flavours, and warm hospitality—we can’t wait to return!

Beautiful inside, lovely food, although there isn’t a massive choice on the menu the food was delicious. Staff are friendly and attentive. It’s just….the toilets are absolutely terrible. No room (staddle toilet to close door), broken buttons. Really need to sort them out. I didn’t go in the men’s but it completely put my partner off going back!

I had very bad experience from food.
The food quality was very disappointing.
Bread naan wasn’t fresh and didn’t worth of £4 for ready made Naan. Overall experience was worst and will not recommend for indian food. This is the worst food I’ve ever had. I have mentioned the picture of bread naan.
I have just wasted £101 for worst food.

I ordered 2 curries rice and two naan.

First of all the quantity of the curry was surprisingly low. The naan bread was cold and hard. I have ordered from them and they were quite good in the past and i am sorry to say not going to order from here again

Personally I think this is the best curry house in Didcot.

We first knew of them when we ordered delivery. So we dined in on Saturday and brought with us our friend who was staying with us for the weekend. It’s pricey but quality of meat, flavour and the indian curry (as opposed to the Bangladeshi curry houses we often have) was delicious!

Mini papadums is good for 1, for £4quid. One person per dish was £25 (curry+rice+Naan). We spent £113 with a bottle of wine between the 3 of us. We’d go back again!

Our curries were amazing. Among the best we’ve ever had. Tasty and well-presented & service was very good. Food and wine menus were fairly limited but that wasn’t an issue as we were only visiting the area.
I had a pint of Stella in the bar beforehand which wasn’t great and there was some sort of business event going which was noisy & echoed around the restaurant as there were very few diners. Nevertheless would recommend and we’ll definitely come back when we’re next here.

Great surprise for a dinner of excellent food, creative, and with a rare balance of innovation and tradition. Service was excellent, timely, and helpful without being invasive in any moment.
Really enjoyed.
The ambience is quite peculiar, with lights having quite a strange tone. It might result a little tiring to the eyes after a while.

The first thing that stood out was the paper menu had food stains on it.
I ordered a chicken tikka masala. This was not on the menu, but the chefs said they could make this. What I received was probably the house curry with a trace of coconut milk. The fresh taste of almond and coconut was not there, just a hint of coconut. The chicken was not fresh and I believe that it was not breast or thigh.
I also had a Garlic naan, which clearly hadn’t been introduced to garlic and the poppadoms were most likely shop bought. I could not eat the meal.
My colleague had a disappointing experience with his meal too.
There was no offer to change the food and when coming to pay, there was no discount offered at all.

The restaurant is contemporary in decor, the staff alex and Rose are very nice, the food is cheffy, the menu is unusual,it’s not like a standard Indian restaurant.
The vegetables are all super fresh and taste organic, the meats are tasty, the venue is rural and pleasant, the malbec wine is nice, the small poppadoms are nice,I’ve been twice and enjoyed it enough to spend time writing this revue.
I usually get a lamb karachi ? I think.
My wife gets a chicken tikka salad.
