Sink your teeth into Rare Society – a modern homage to the golden age of the American steakhouse. Chef and owner Brad Wise reimagines vintage upscale dining with a bold, contemporary edge: a wood-fired grill fueled by red oak, an in-house dry-aging program, sustainably sourced seafood, and a progressive cocktail menu that nods to the classics while pushing boundaries.
The space hums with energy – smoke curling from the grill, the scent of fire and flavor wafting through the air. It’s easy to picture a Rat Pack-era dinner party in full swing: elegant, indulgent, just a little unruly.
Rare Society doesn’t just pay tribute to steakhouse tradition – it revives it, reinvents it, and serves it with just a little bit of swagger.

Celebrated an anniversary here. Made the reservation. We got there – they staff greeted us and congratulated us and gave us a card. Our service from the start to the end was great.
Place has a cool vibe as you enter and there is bar seating. They walked us to the back to our table. On the very back there is another bar seating looking into the kitchen.
There are two large open glass fridge showcasing their steak. Place has area to host a big party and also an area outside.
Menu has good selection of appetizers, entree, dessert, and drinks.
We started with cocktails. Got a couple of appetizers- lamb chops and a crude. Both were excellent and flavorful. Lamb is cooked perfectly.
Decided to order two steaks- Waygu and a ribeye. Both were cooked to perfection and flavorful. We got two sides – their Parker rolls and miso glazed carrots. Rolls were freshly made, warm, and buttery.
Make sure you save room for dessert- the banana foster cheesecake is heavenly.
It’s great to have a high end steak house not in the strip located at The Uncommons. Pricing is cheaper than lost strip steakhouses but yes still expensive.
Definitely will come back.

Rare Society at the Uncommons is such a gorgeous new addition to the area. Located right on the corner of Maule Ave and Helen Toland St., this modern steakhouse makes a stunning first impression. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a dramatic chandelier and a fabulous bar that feels both glamorous and inviting.
The main dining room is spacious and beautifully done, an open concept with views straight into the bustling kitchen and a striking display of aged steaks along the walls. The mix of tables and cozy booths, warm wood accents, and earthy tones makes the whole space feel elevated yet comfortable. There’s beautiful wall art throughout, a golden recessed ceiling that pulls your eye toward the back, and an art-deco inspired mirrored ceiling on the other side. Even the hallway to the bathrooms is stylish thanks to the wine cellar framed by a gold studded doorway, it’s a whole moment.
Service was excellent, attentive, friendly, and genuinely helpful with recommendations. We started with the Parker House Rolls served with truffle butter and herbs, and they were unreal, soft, warm, and full of flavor. For cocktails, we tried the Wrapping Party Spritz with prosecco, cranberry, grapefruit, and elderflower. Light, refreshing, and perfectly balanced.
For mains, we ordered the Iceberg Wedge Salad with grape tomatoes, red onion, aged balsamic, and Danish blue cheese. I skipped the bacon, and it was still fantastic, crisp and flavorful. We also tried the Wood Grilled Whole Maine Lobster with garlic, parsley butter and breadcrumbs, the King Salmon with salsa verde and pickled kohlrabi, and a Filet Mignon. Every dish was spot on. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the filet was beautifully cooked.
For sides, we had the broccolini and mashed potatoes. Both were great, but the broccolini absolutely stole the show, charred and served with a lemon yogurt sauce that was incredible.
We ended the night with the Brookie Tart topped with chocolate ice cream and cookie crunch, and wow… just wow. Truly outstanding.
Rare Society is absolutely a place we’ll be returning to. Chic ambiance, amazing service, and outstanding food, such a fantastic addition to the dining scene at the Uncommons.

I don’t know why this place only has 4.2 stars overall I thought it was amazing. It’s pricey, but the food is so good! Liz was our server and she made the evening really special by recommending her favorites and we loved everything we got. I especially loved the Parker house rolls with truffle butter and the pork belly appetizer was beyond delicious. The broiled oysters with Yuzu sauce were probably a 7 out of 10, but everything else was pretty much 9 or 10 out of 10. We got a platter that had all kinds of cuts of meat and different sauces and also the lamb lollipops and the very rich truffle scallop potatoes. They have a great wine list and incredible desserts. This place is a must go to for locals and tourists alike. Located at the Commons parking was super easy and they give you two hours for free.

Rare Society Steak House at The Uncommons was, without question, the best meal I’ve had in years. Every course was thoughtful and beautifully executed.
The service deserves its own mention. Warm and attentive, without being intrusive, which is rare these days. It felt effortless and elevated the entire experience.
An exceptional dining experience all around. This is the kind of place that reminds you why going out to dinner can feel special.

Located on a corner spot in Uncommons this place has a very lively atmosphe much like it’s California counterparts, particularly the Del Mar location (btdt). They’re clearly all about the meat, with an extensive list of cuts that speaks to their high standard for quality & aging. While I found myself searching a bit for unique appetizer options, the expertly crafted & strong cocktails were good way to begin. The table ordered the BBQ D.A.’d meatballs which were amazing. My steak was incredibly juicy, though a bit of unexpected gristle was present in one our guest’s cuts. The salads were a very generous in size & the wedge was particularly good. Sides are individual sized; the creamed potatoes came piping hot & corn was a stand out for me.
The place was buzzing with energy on a midweek evening, & it’s a testament to their focus. For a great steak & a lively experience, I’d certainly return, though other spots might be my first choice for a more diverse menu.

Excellent experience! Everything that I had was amazing! I would definitely come back! We had the bacon and artichoke for the starters. The executive board was our protein, phenomenal! Even all of the different sauces it came with were delicious! The sides : lobster king crab Mac, potato au gratin, asparagus. Everything was delicious! The desert in my opinion was the best by far. Butter Cake, and cream brûlée, OUT OF THIS WORLD. I’m coming back just for that in the near future! Great established.

Our second visit in a month. We live in Inspirada, so this is not a short venture, needless to say, but worth it. Got a nice table with our favorite captain of the evening, Jarred! I say captain, because he literally bring us on a journey every time we are there. His knowledge and love for what he does elevates the food. Started it off with artichokes, ahi, and oysters. The artichokes were so good that we had to talk to Chef about the process! Oh, I forgot about the wine, last time we were there, I ordered a bottle and forgot which one it was. Jarred literally went through the receipts, to find exactly which one we ordered. A true testament to how much he goes above and beyond for all his guests! We moved onto the entrées. Denver steak, cooked to perfection, with a side of bone marrow, to put on top, of course! Side of Broccolini, which is my favorite. We wanted to try the side of ravioli, which is now my second favorite. We had to get a couple Lamb Chop lollipops,, because those are awesome. Coupled with some cream of spinach and tarro butter, which are my wife’s favorite. For dessert, we had some great coffee cocktails and their specialty ice cream, “Fruity Pebbles” this time, which was a fantastic way to end the evening. Another absolutely phenomenal experience at rare society. Everybody must go!

Point blank: the garlic roll paired with the pork belly was the best bite of food I’ve ever had in my life. Service was excellent, atmosphere was excellent. Everything we ate was as good as I could imagine it being. The only thing that left something to be desired was the cocktails, though they were still quite good and the steak was slightly undercooked against Medium-Rare+ (no harm, we took it as is and it was delicious). Overall, if you’ve got the wallet for it, this place is special

The service is attentive and knowledgeable — they make great recommendations, especially when it comes to cuts of meat and cocktails. The steak is phenomenal, perfectly cooked and full of flavor, and the sides are just as impressive (get the potatoes!).
