Not sure what’s happening there but the food has always been very good unfortunately this time food was inedible but the service we received replacing the whole meal free off charge was much appreciated but unfortunately still did not hit the standard we usually used to having from this place so unfortunately it’s 1-10 for the food but 10-10 on service never normally disappointing

On the way here, my Uber driver told me he’d never go anywhere else! Not surprised, as it is exceptional. Extremely generous portions, delicately spiced and seasoned. Not overly sweet either, as is often the case with other establishments. Bring your own alcohol, enjoy the relaxed vibe with friendly, smiling service. As I am here to buy a house in the area, it looks like I’ll be back when I’ve moved in! Thank you!

Excellent sit dowm meal in this restaurant hidden away at the top of Morriston high Street. Amazing flavours in the food. The Goan chicken was very spicy but bursting with flavours. The restaurant’s decor is basic, and the surrounding area unimpressive, but if you want a top class authentic curry pay the Rane Bengal a visit. Note that this restaurant does not have a licence, but you can bring your own alcohol, or buy in the convenience store next door.

I liked this restaurant the Keema nan was the best I have had in years but I had the Cafreal as a main dish and it was a bit too rich for my taste. I had the prawn puri as a starter which was nice but as you can see from my pictures the slice of lemon was more a G&T lemon that a wedge (Also I need to point out they are not licenced). Service was great everything was hot and fresh. Worth a visit and as of my visit end of September 2023 cash only.

Have this place got new owners or chefs because the food is nothing like the standard we usually get.its completley different.its tasteless. Wont be ordering again now as the food is not nice and kebabs have gone tiny. Used to be the best indian about but not any more.

I have been ordering food here since my father was 14 and honestly had one of the best madras curry’s I’ve ever experienced , the normal pulled chicken in the madras sauce these guys do is second to none and when equipped with keema rice is a world beater

Had a meal here recently and the food was excellent. every dish was served hot and also tasty, the meat was cooked to perfection and the flavours were amazing. The service was absolutely unreal as they made me and my partner feel so welcome as soon as we stepped in, the staff couldn’t do enough for us. The staff were really nice, and it was a really lovely and relaxed environment. What a lovely restaurant. They also do take away which is a bonus.

We arrived here on a Friday Evening with no booking and it was busy. Staff went out their way to accommodate us and the service was simply excellent. All the food was of superb quality. One of the best curry night outs we have had. Thanks to all the staff who worked hard to make our experience wonderful – Its fully appreciated and we will be returning when next in the area.
UPDATE – We revisited 2 yrs later and service remains the same – Superb, food is great and highly recommend. Thanks to all who made our meal delightful. See you again hopefully in the future..

Had a fabulous family dine in meal here recently. The food was absolutely delicious!! My husband had shish kebab starter and mutton jalfrazi, he said his meat was delicious and really tender. My son had amazingly tasty onion bhajis and chicken jalfrazi. My daughter had the tastiest chicken chaat starter I’ve ever tasted and chicken madras, which she did struggle (with spice level wise). I had chicken tikka starter and chicken dupiaza, it was beyond perfect! The naan was so soft and obviously freshly made. The staff were fabulous, so friendly and attentive. We all had a fabulous experience and meal. Thank you so much Rane Bengal.
NB. Spice levels are a bit higher than your usual curry places. Also, they only take cash and don’t serve alcohol, but there is a spar and cash point right next door.

1st time, lovely restaurant and staff and great food.
A plus that you can bring your own alcohol makes for an even more enjoyable experience. Can’t fault this little gem in the heart of Morriston. Well worth a visit. Cash only but there’s a cashpoint just outside. 5 Stars all round.
