Heard about this cute place and tried it for a late lunch. Happy hour appetizers were delicious! Chicken taquitos and Birria tacos, yummy. Service was great, very attentive. Will be back.

I just left Kalaveras so stuffed with delicious food. Where else can you find good Mexican food? The brunch is worth it. Come hungry and leave like a chile relleno (stuffed)! Can’t wait to come back for Taco Tuesday.

My boyfriend and I were looking to have a date night with a nice atmosphere so of course we headed down to old town Temecula. We were unsure of what we wanted to eat but realized it was taco Tuesday so we decided to look for Mexican food and Kalaveras was the first place to pop up so we gave it a try. 1. Our server Abraham was the sweetest guy. He was probably the best server we have ever experienced if I’m being honest. 2. The outside seating is great! Since you are on the second floor, you have a nice view of the mountains and a view of old town with a nice breeze. 3. Price is very affordable, the tacos on taco Tuesday are $1.99. They have so many options and are so delicious. Overall our experience here was great and our server was even better. Thank you, we will be returning.

TLDR: Kalaveras Temecula’s Sunday Brunch offers a $40 all-you-can-eat buffet with mimosas included. Standout dishes include Menudo, chilaquiles with chipotle sauce and barbacoa, a kid-friendly section, and great ambiance with art and music. Excellent service from Abraham. A top contender for brunch in the valley!
This past weekend, my wife and I had the opportunity to try Kalaveras’ Sunday Brunch, and it was a pleasant surprise! This brunch is a strong contender against other breakfast spots in the valley. For $40, you get an all-you-can-eat buffet, with mimosas included–a great value!
Our server Abraham was polite, accommodating, and helpful, adding to the overall positive experience.
Now for the star of the show: the food! The standout for me was definitely the Menudo. It reminded me of the kind my family in LA makes, with a hearty amount of meat and perfectly balanced flavors. My wife and I also loved the chilaquiles station, where you can customize your dish with various sauces and eggs cooked to your preference. To make it even better, you can top your chilaquiles with some of the barbacoa–an absolute game-changer!
We also loved the ambiance of Kalaveras, with lots of artwork and great music playing. I constantly found myself eating and dancing in our booth–such a fun vibe!
I appreciated that there was a section for kids, complete with juice, chicken tenders, and cereal, making it a family-friendly spot.
My wife and I truly enjoyed this brunch buffet and will definitely be coming back soon!

Parking can be difficult at times during the weekend going out days. The elevator was not working, and the staff at entrance was a bit oblivious to our presence . Location isn’t as artfully decorated as other kalavera locations. Drinks were a bit water down and lacked some flavor. Positives – Clean location, great music playing, able to talk with my date, people were overall friendly, restroom were clean and an inviting ambiance. I recommend getting there early, getting in the list, ordering something simple for food, and ordering more common drinks to taste the difference.

Had dinner on a weekday. There was a good happy hour menu. We had three courses and 2 drinks each. For a party of two our bill was approx $110. The ambiance was nice because the music was not overwhelming so it was nice to have a conversation during dinner.

Loud and high energy and many seats to sit at. Just my time there with a friend enjoying the food. Noise makers and whistles the crew were singing Happy Birthday or other party adventures The food is good and the service was spot on. This was only on Sunday night. Can you imagine what it would look like on Thursday, Friday & Saturday or even a sports night. This place would be amazing.

Overpriced. This kalaveras was not that great. Their happy hour portions are smaller than other kalavera restaurants. Their prices are higher than other kalveras restaurants as well and the quality of the drinks are not that great either. I love this restaurants but not all of them will have the same deals nor the same quality. This one is not worth it unless you cash out.

While in old town Temecula we wanted a little bite to eat and found Kalaveras, a second floor restaurant. We ordered the taquitos appetizer and found a delicious chicken tickas and sweet potato versions piled on lovely bed of greens and guacamole. We added a barbacco taco which was generously piled with pickled onions and radishes. The service, decor and music added to the pleasure. We will be back.

It’s a fun location. My chicken taco was a bit fatty. The nachos and carnitas were tasty and the beans outstanding. It was pretty pricey for the quality of food. If I return, I will try the terrace seating and stick to happy hour items.
