A special mention to Gurpreet and the entire team. Their service was warm, attentive and professional throughout our visit. They made us feel genuinely welcomed and well looked after.
Highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic, delicious Indian food. We will definitely be back!
Had dinner this evening at Randhawa’s Indian Cuisine — great service, delicious food, and a beautiful grand location. There’s a real sense of timeless Indian cuisine here, with every single dish made from scratch in-house. You can taste the authenticity and care in every bite. A true standout on the Gold Coast — simply a great choice!
It’s one of the nicest looking Indian restaurants on the Gold Coast. Two levels, great food selection and presentation, and attentive service.
Although I said the service is attentive, it’s a little too eager. In just 10 minutes, three or four different servers approached our table and asked if we’d like anything else. The restaurant was far from busy, we were there early around. 5:45pm and left around 645pm, so it wasn’t a ‘freeing up the table’ issue. I think their service was all over the place with no one person assigned to a section. It was fine at first but became uncomfortable on the third server visit. They all asked if we “wanted anything”, rather than ask if we wanted another drink or dessert. The servers were young and it was perhaps their first job, so they get some slack. They were all polite and I tried to provide encouragement when they came to the table. Perhaps some further training could be done as this usually stems from the top down.
The food was good. They even have a kids menu. The food did lack spice. My wife and I both asked for medium spicy, and it was very mild.
There is covered parking behind the restaurant. Just walk behind the Statue of David to find it. In typical Queensland style, the bathrooms weren’t located inside the restaurant but on the way to parking.
The only thing that left a bad taste was their insistence that we review the restaurant.
The server asked if we could give a Google review. I said “Yes, I’ll do it later at home”. A couple minute later she brought over a QR code for me to scan to review. I again said I’d do it later. When we went down to pay the person at the till asked for us to provide a review once again.
The other negative is phone reception is bad there. We had three phones altogether (two on different networks) and none of them had reception.
Randhawa Restaurant has been my favourite place since I came to Australia 10 years ago. I’ve never regretted being a VIP member — the food, service, and hospitality are always outstanding.
Even back when I was driving taxi and Uber, I always recommended Randhawa to everyone as the best Indian restaurant. Some say it’s pricey, but I always tell them the quality, discipline, and high standards — especially under Nina Randhawa’s leadership — make it truly worth it.
I recently celebrated my wedding dinner here, and it was absolutely perfect — from the food to the atmosphere.
Thank you, Nina and the whole Randhawa team, for always making every visit so special.

The service was absolutely top notch. Our waitress was incredibly kind and polite, and she kept checking on us throughout the evening to make sure everything was good. I really wish I had asked her name because she genuinely made the experience even better.
The menu has a huge variety which made choosing a little difficult in the best way. We ended up ordering lamb cutlets, lamb spring rolls, garlic chicken tikka, garlic naan, cheesy garlic naan, peas pulao, methi paneer, and Randhawa’s chicken curry. For drinks we had a virgin mojito and a cranberry raspberry spritzer mocktail.
Every single dish tasted amazing. The flavours were rich and well balanced and everything felt freshly prepared. The lamb was cooked beautifully, the paneer was soft and flavourful, and the naans were perfect for scooping up the curries. Even the mocktails were refreshing and nicely made.
Overall it was such a lovely experience with great food, great service, and a really nice atmosphere. Definitely a place I would come back to again. Highly recommend if you are looking for a good Indian restaurant on the Gold Coast.
The food was beyond delicious, best seasoned and flavoured food.
Hand on heart, this is the best Indian food I have ever tasted.
Highly recommend the lamb cutlets… they melt in your mouth.
Five stars from me and very reasonably priced and generous portions.
