What a fun experience dining at Tres Cantina in North Tonawanda! I didn’t even know it was an option to eat in the mini bus until we arrived. I love the atmosphere with the vibrant colors and different sections of dining areas within the restaurant. Its well designed and I love the extra flair of decor. They have a large bar with bartenders making up some tasty margaritas! Good food and music. I definitely plan on returning soon!

My lunch special, quesadilla was really good. My niece also liked her burrito lunch special. Both came with rice and beans, and were only 9.99. I definitely enjoyed it!

They are such a fantastic crew, I’ve been going to their first restaurant on Niagara Street for years. As a member of the National Guard, we would always go in to the Niagara Street location on drill weekends. Nothing is different about this location. The folks are friendly. This service is great and the food is impeccable. We spend quite a bit of time out in the southwest in Sedona, Arizona. This is about as close as we’ve come to it anywhere around Buffalo.

This place is so cute! Kinda hipster-y but the decor is really cool. Food is GREAT. Servers could have come around a little more frequently for drink refills and such, but they’re also usually pretty busy, so it’s kinda understandable.

Also there’s a little VW Microbus with a table in it you can sit at.

Worth the trip!! Living in the Southtowns, I was hesitant to drive the 25 minutes to NT to try the infamous Mexican spot my friends couldn’t stop raving about… but I’m glad I did! Having lived in Southern California, I was skeptical that the food could match the quality of what’s offered on the West Coast.
From the moment I walked in, the vibrant, welcoming atmosphere set the stage for what would be an outstanding dining experience. The menu had a great variety, with everything from classic tacos and burritos to more adventurous dishes. I decided to try their signature nachos and authentic empanadas and was blown away—they had the perfect balance of rich, complex flavors that truly reminded me of my favorite spots back in Cali.

The service was attentive and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable.

Overall, this gem is definitely worth the drive, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Whether you’re a Mexican food aficionado or just someone looking for a great meal, this place won’t disappoint!

So delicious. I recommend you sign up on the waitlist before you leave because every time I tried to go before, I was told 45 min. When we saw the option to waitlist, we decided to go now that we’d wouldn’t be stuck waiting with a toddler for a long time. The chips they serve you are excellent. Home made and nicely seasoned. We took some home with our leftovers and they were still great the next day. My tacos were delicious (pork carnitas,
sweet potato and califlower, and carne asada). The coconut margarita was great. Husband adored his burrito and mentioned the filling layering was great. My toddler had part of a quesadilla, parts of my tacos, and the chips which he approved. We’ll happily come again.

This restaurant is very nice. it is a nice touch that they have the VW bus that you are able to eat inside of! The atmosphere is very inviting the food was good. The service was quick. The waitress was very friendly. You’re in the area check this place out. My only real complaint the chips were a little salty. The Chicharrón also a little hard for my taste like they will break your teeth. They had a good flavors though and that’s a minor complaint, do not let that be the reason why you don’t order them they were good.

The food was absolutely amazing, and it is a very fun atmosphere. Frozen margaritas were great! The service, however, was very slow. We waited quite a bit for our order to be taken, other tables around us who were seated after us, received their food before us.

Changing my review after a recent visit and several attempts to sway the owners to undo recent changes, but leaving up my previous review so everyone can see how great it USED to be. The owners decided that the people of tonawanda don’t prefer classy atmosphere and experiences (literally their words). The margaritas that used to be dreamworthy are now served in massive bowls that taste like ready mix (although they say they are not). The music was awful. The food wasn’t the same. If you want to go for a cheap bachelorette party / margaritaville vibe, then head over. This place used to be true to quality and was a real gem. I won’t go back after the last experience. Really unfortunate.

Absolutely phenomenal! The food was out of this world. The quality ingredients speak for themselves. I had a coconut margarita with fresh squeezed lime juice (no bottled anything here) and it was hands down the best margarita I’ve ever had. The chips flight was gone in minutes, I don’t think we even breathed while eating it. My husband, whom does NOT like guacamole, ate half the bowl himself. The tacos and burrito fritas were really just well done. It’s high end Mexican American with clean, good quality ingredients. They do it right here. The bartender was fabulous too, Makenna (I think that was her name). She knew the menu inside and out, showcased the menu beautifully and sold us by how well she knew the ingredients and quality. Simply said- go eat here. Plenty of colorful seating, very festive decor, extremely clean, great music and friendly staff.

Wow! I absolutely adore this place! So much thought, creativity, and love was put into creating every detail of this place. Each table is a different kind of artwork. It’s just amazing! My friend and I had a reservation inside the wagon. It was so cool. We had fun goofing around with a skeleton driver, Mr Jose ( that’s my name for him ). The food was delicious, and our servers were very friendly and helpful.
There was a little hick up. People that were inside the wagon before us kind of ignored the fact that someone else, besides them, overstayed their welcome by 40 min. Our waitress was very gracious and comped our appetizer to make up for our wait.
We got nachos with chicken to start.
The plate was huge! We were full just from that, but we wanted to try other things. I got 3/18 tacos ( pork, steak, and fish), and my friend got chicken quesadilla.
