12.23.25: Rancho Viejo has been on my list to try and since we were in Post Falls for an errand, we went there for lunch. When we walked in, we were greeted and sat immediately at a booth. It wasn’t too busy at all and ambiance was fairly quiet. Karen was our server and welcomed us in and took our drink order and brought us chips and salsa right away. I ordered a classic Shirley Temple and it was notstalgically good.

As my lunch entree, I ordered the Camarones Mexicanos. It arrived hot and full of flavor. I considered the shrimp as more medium sized and of adequate quantity. The mushrooms soaked up the flavor of the onions and peppers and I enjoyed how my rice was cheesy with melted cheddar Jack. For dessert, I went with the classic flan. It was a dense piece of vanilla custard with great texture and form. There was no strawberry sauce so it must be seasonal thing, but it had caramel sugar sauce that was traditional to flan. The other two people I was with, bothered ordered lunch combos and both were satisfied with their choices.

Karen was a great server–friendly, attentive, and even refilled drinks without being asked. Overall, Rancho Viejo is a great sit-down spot for authentic Mexican food that’s a notch above average and much better than many of the fast food Mexican joints around town.

This is a wonderful restaurant full of delicious food. The wait staff was busy keeping our soda glasses full. The wait time to get our plates full of marvelouslesness was acceptable. If you want to know what heaven might taste like, try the in house chunky Guacamole dip! And the atmosphere… I was impressed! We will be back!

My family loves this place and the service is amazing. Our drink glasses and Chip baskets are never empty. Jolie provided great service. I LOVE the shrimp tacos! The guacamole is a must as well.

Love this family owned restaurant. The owners are super friendly and accommodating.

We went in on Sunday and they have an all you can eat brunch which looked super riquisimo. My wife went with the fajitas which were really good. And I had the 12oz Mexican Sirloin. The flavor was good but it was overcooked. I’ll ask for rare next time to get the medium rare I was going for.

I recommend this as the best Hispanic restaurant in PF

This place is way overpriced. Plus, server had an earpiece and was probably talking to the kitchen while we ordered, but getting food within 30 seconds of ordering was questionable to say the least. $20 for precooked meat and your typical sides is foolish. There are way better options for flavor and better prices close by.

Side note, it was a silly to have someone walk in, that obviously ran the restaurant, with giant gold chains around his next as we paid our $150 bill. Very cool.

I’ve ate at his post falls location and my wife and I just had some breakfast burritos from his new food truck near dickeys bbq in the silver lake mall. And it was the best breakfast burrito I’ve had from any of the food trucks around. Perfect blend of ingredients and big enough it will be my lunch too.
His dedication to his business is impressive.
His food reflect that.
Plus his crew was super polite snd pleasant to talk too.

The house made guacamole is exceptionally good. The manager was very friendly and checked in with all the tables. We had a 6-person table, and the service was excellent. Everyone enjoyed their meals.

Doordash- burrito is huge and easy to share. Very tasty. Toppings a little soggy with everything in one container. Mystery desert pleased my kid even though we ordered a different dessert. Chips and salsa were a nice bonus. We enjoyed our meal at home.
