Super Mega DISAPPOINTED with this place; visiting from out of town with family for the Christmas season and vacation, recommended from another local business (nursery) and I don’t recommend; don’t waste your time and money.
Very expensive and overpriced for basic products that you can get at a local supermarket or a local restaurant.
1. Cuban tamales are very big, hard textured, and have no taste.
2. Mangoes (from Brazil) horribles, all of them black inside and some of them rotten.
3. It was the most expensive pineapple ever.
For walking around and inside the busines, it looks like in the past probably used to be good, but unfortunately, and apparently not anymore.
Staff, friendly; kitchen and bar area looks dirty and abandoned.
NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!

I don’t know about the food because I haven’t order anything yet but the fruit and vegetables at this place are top quality.
I always stop by for papayas, mameys and avocados.
On weekends is a little crowded but there’s always parking available.

This business doen not even deserve a 1 Star!! They took super long to serve our food on top of that it was over seasoned and with excessive lemon as well. To top it off they are very overpriced for the quality of food and service they provide but still that was not enough they charge a noncash fee which they never tell you plus a service charge and still after that the waitress asks of you want to leave a tip before processing your payment This business is a total RIP Off!! Stay far away from there.

Ok. I went to Ranchito Viejo to meet up with some friends and hear some music last Sunday. But I read the reviews before heading out there, ok, based on the review I said no food for me there, Yuk . Then I read the tricks of the trade they are playing there with the bar. Ok, so I got there and I went straight to the bar and asked the bartender for a Cuban Mojito, she replied, we are out of Rum, I can make it with Vodka, I said fine, So the next thing she pulled out a small plastic glass maybe 6-8 oz. And made the Mojito, taste was fair but then she said $18.00, I said what ???? Ok, I bit the bullet and paid her. So I went back to the table with my 4 friends and they had ordered 4 beverages, 2 Beers and 2 Mojitos, totaled $46.00, So I paid $18.00 for one single mojito. The other Image I have of this place girls dancing on a pole with All her underwear showing and the place with kids seeing this type of low life’s, I guess this place is Rafter city. I really feel sorry for the owner of this Dump, yes Dump. I hope you respect yourself and stay away from this trashy place. Owner should get a life and stop scamming customers. Take the time and read the other reviews.

Disgusting and dirty!!!!!!!
I visited the place because it looked decent from outside, but when I went in I was disgusted with the way they had the animals
They have a screened area with ducks in a very deplorable state
The water in a little pond is dense green and they have a separate container with same dirty nasty green water
Poor ducks I don’t know what they drink in that heat
On the other hand they have a pond with fishes under a small bridge. That water has plastic garbage in it and the water is green
I just think how can they have those animals in that condition and how clean can they be when they cook

I give this location 5 stars. I’ve read all the other reviews and I can honestly say most of them are not real. Seafood is fresh , atmosphere is very cultural to the Latin community and very family orientated. They have many artist like impersonators at their weekend events I highly recommend for you to try el rancho viejo experience. The employees are friendly and attentive. I will be coming back to this special place. Tip: Make sure to follow them on Facebook for updates!
