My first time in a Mexican restaurant—great fun! Restaurant very pretty, great vibe, lots of painted scenes of Mexico. Everything seemed clean.
Margaritas marvellous.
Food was tasty.
Service friendly.

We stopped in on a Monday night, got right in, and had an asombroso (awesome) meal in un ambiente muy bonito (very pretty atmosphere)!
The wait staff was extremely competent, friendly, and attentive. And the food? …Viva la comida!

Pleasant, clean and inviting restaurant with great service. I was pleased to see they offered Heuvos Rancheros on the lunch menu, but what I received was not like any Heuvos Rancheros I ever had before. The sunny side up eggs were burnt and crispy around the edges and the yokes were cooked solid. I am used to Chile Verde w/pork on HR what I received was some kind of bland red sauce. I would go back, but likely would try something else from the menu and that’s a shame.

The food was delicious. I chose a taco salad with shredded chicken. I expected the chicken meat to be dry but it was warm and juicy the guac was fresh and tasted homemade with a few chunks in it. The iceberg was also shredded crispy cool and refreshing. I was so hungry I forgot to take the photo while it was still pretty. Believe when I say worth the short trip off the interstate to find this affordable hidden gem. The food is good!

Nice Atmosphere…colorful seating, feels and looks like an authentic Mexican Palace. Wife ordered a TACO salad but the meat was not drained. The salad was constantly draining grease even after we changed plates. My Tamale was not fresh . Ends of Tamale was extremely hard and middle was also hard. Very appealing to the eyes but as a chef their food is deceptive. Take my word.. Everything that looks good isn’t . Looks can be deceiving. Waitress and management was not very cordial when we made them aware of our food and speaking Spanish in front of customer while discussing our complaint with kitchen Mgr next to us was disrespectful. I wanna know what they’re saying about us. Feel me?

I really enjoy the atmosphere. I’ve eaten here twice and I have enjoyed my food each time. The chips and salsa are SO GOOD!! The salsa is perfect, I went through at leave 3 cups of it before dinner. I ordered a virgin pina coloda and it was good but expensive for a drink without alcohol. It was $6 and I would think that would be for a non-virgin drink. I appreciate that they had the option of having a virgin drink though and it wasn’t just some pre-mix. They also have this avocado mix that is fantastic and I don’t even like guacamole but I will eat this!

We were at a conference in the Monticello Opera House and remembered that we had a good meal at Rancho Grande 2 years ago, so we walked over there again. It was quite busy at 1:30 pm, but there was no waiting and the staff did a great job of bringing everyone’s food out quickly!

Beware: they will charge you for a second basket of chips and salsa, as well as charge you for takeout… they charged us $7.50 for the simple fact that it was a takeout order. They’ve always been really bad about adding a few extra dollars to your total if you don’t watch them, but they’ll get you one way or another. The food is good enough, but the charges and rudeness you get when asking about the charges that you probably weren’t told about gives them low marks for me. Self proclaimed “Best Mexican food in town” by default
