R&Roost is still too much a Gillette “best kept secret” -a great find with excellent smash burgers and nice dark fries. The chicken sandwich was good too but I was expecting a darker, crunchier breading/coating and it was more thin and light. The buns are super fresh!
There is no place to dine inside but plenty of space outside wind and weather permitting. The place next door welcomes R&R customers and is an extension of with even a logo on the door, which we really appreciated at noon with a party of 7 on a very windy day. The bar is clean and spacious with a most friendly bar tender. The family members that joined us live here in Gillette and couldn’t believe we found a great place they didn’t know about. We will be going back!

Had the Mushroom Swiss double smash burger with bacon, mushrooms, and cheese — absolutely incredible. Perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor. Fries were hot and crispy too. Ranch & Roost nailed it — definitely coming back!

Would have given 5 stars, but order was missing fries. Then told a young server and she forgot, probably because they were busy. The classic old world Americana menu of burgers, fries and fried chicken is top tier. I’d return again when in the area. UPDATE: I came back. I changed this to a 5 star review. Everyone makes mistakes. Real people fix theirs. They will always make it right here. They made us customers for life. The food here is crazy good. And the service is just as good.

Great food and service Matthew took my order and when I asked what’s his favorite item on the menu, he recommended the Jalapeño Popper Burger. I decided to tried it and it certainly did not disappoint …. it was AMAZING! Thank you for the friendly service Matthew. I highly recommend this hidden gem located right near downtown Gillette!

What a cool spot to grab some tasty, fresh food! Great ambiance, fantastic hand cut fries, burgers and chicken (made the way we wanted) were ALL cooked to perfection! Definitely give this place a try! Not pictured was my burger in a lettuce boat (no bun) which accommodated for my food allergies. Great eats!

Delicious food! I Got the Cactus Burger as well as an order of Parmesan Garlic fries with Cactus Sauce and was not disappointed. A little on the pricey side as everything is sold a la carte, but I would definitely say well worth it. Perfect after a long day of travel. Also love the Bible verse on the bag!

My dog and I spent the day in Gillette just having some fun. I didn’t plan on a place to eat, after Googling lunch spots Ranch and Roost was very close. The inside of this little place was super cute, the staff was very nice, and inside was very clean. I ordered a cheeseburger, garlic parm fries with their homemade dipping sauce, and a beef patty for my dog.
We drove to the park and ate out lunch. Everything was so good! The cheeseburger was juicy and cooked really well, the fries and sauce were delicious, and my dog enjoyed her beef patty. Will definitely come back when I visit Gillette again. Thanks!

the jalapeno popper burger was delicious and the fries were B+.. however, we stood at the counter waiting to order for several (5+) minutes. None of the three employees even acknowledged us, even after we asked “is this where you order?” They simply said yes and then kept ignoring us. It was two guys (one of them had some sort of shiny jewel on the corner of his eye and lip/nose piercings, the other had long bleached blond hair) and a woman with a forearm tattoo. The two guys looked like they were high or sleepy…The woman seemed to be the manager, and eventually told one of the guys to take our order, which he did sleepily…

Good first time experience. Husband and I ordered the Cheeseburger with grilled onions, lettuce, ketchup and mayo, the Spring Chicken with Lettuce, 2 medium hand-cut fries and the large Garlic Parmesan fries. Was like $48. Alittle shy on the Lettuce but very good eats. It definitely filled us up; And recommendable. Loved the psalm scripture on the bag too.
