We enjoyed the 14oz Wagyu Ribeye and Pork Chop. Our sides included mac and cheese as well as cooked carrots. Our food choices were delicious. We are big fans of Chef Ramsay and this was our first opportunity to enjoy one of his restaurants. We enjoyed every minute of this dining experience. A++
I ordered the blackened red fish with grits. The presentation was nice. I would rate the overall dish 8/10. I’m not sure if the grits were supposed to be room temp, but they were a little cold.
I received a complimentary birthday desert, which was a chocolate gooey butter cake. I’m not a big fan of chocolate but this was an absolute 10/10!
The service was decent. I had a party of 7 and we were seated fairly quickly after checking into our reservation. The server was nice and educated us on the signature dishes. There were some moments where we were waiting a little while for her to check on us, but overall she was exceptional. When our food arrived, there were a few mix-ups with who ordered which item. I would rate the service 7.5/10.
My overall experience 8/10. I would definitely revisit!
Breakfast was outstanding—easily the highlight of our stay. Every dish we tried was delicious and well-executed . If you’re staying at the hotel, breakfast here is absolutely worth it.
Dinner, however, was a bit more hit-or-miss. The pricing felt very steep for what we received, and the food itself was noticeably less impressive than breakfast. One example that stood out: adding chicken to my girlfriend’s salad was $14, and it came with roughly 3 oz of chicken, which felt hard to justify at that price point. I understand that you have to be willing to spend a pretty penny at places like this, but that seemed a little excessive. There was overall mixed feeling about the dinner food we ordered, but my dish (fish and chips) I thought was quite good. It included the whole filet and was quite filling. Service at dinner was also a little subpar though— they forgot some of our order so we had to return again.
That said, a couple of things soften the blow. The cocktails at the bar were excellent, and genuinely elevated the evening. Honestly, they were some of the best I’ve had while traveling. Also, we weren’t able to secure a dinner reservation and had to do carryout, which may have contributed to the experience not landing as well as it could have in-house.
Between the incredible breakfast, the cocktails, and the amazing views of the St. Louis Arch from the dinning room, I’m willing to give dinner a mulligan and would try it again—with a proper reservation next time.
The food really stood out. The mac and cheese was hands-down the best I’ve had anywhere, and I don’t say that lightly (I’m a mac and cheese connoisseur!) Easily the best side on the table. The truffle fries and sauce were dangerously good and completely addictive. The smoked chicken with gnocchi was delicious and comforting, and the St. Louis–style ribs were packed with flavor; they could have been just a touch more tender, but were still very enjoyable and quite large.
The only minor downside was being seated near a louder table, even though there were quieter areas available at the time. It didn’t take away from the overall experience, but it’s worth noting for anyone who prefers a more low-key dining atmosphere.
The ambiance is stunning. The attached lounge with the fireplace and glass staircase is absolutely beautiful and elevates the entire experience. If 4.5 stars were an option, that’s exactly what I’d give. A fantastic night overall, and we’ll definitely be back.
We travel with intention, so we made sure the experience matched our style. The service met us right there—polished, attentive, and warm. I came in with St. Louis barbecue on my mind, and the menu delivered with confidence and care. The server guided us effortlessly through soup appetizers and drinks that set the pace perfectly.
The real showstopper was the view. Seeing the Gateway Arch from our table took our breath away. While others gathered around the nearby rooftop pool, we enjoyed a more intimate setting and captured photos that will stay with us for life—especially meaningful since this city is part of my story. Ramsay’s Kitchen gave us a memorable sendoff and a reason to return. Thank you for an experience that honored both the city and the moment.
The Food
• The Ribeye: This was the absolute highlight of the night. I ordered the ribeye, and it was incredible—perfectly seasoned, cooked exactly to temperature, and incredibly tender. If you are a steak lover, this is a must-order.
• The Beef Wellington: My wife decided to try the signature Beef Wellington. Since we had never tried it before, we were excited to see what the hype was about. Ultimately, we realized it just wasn’t our “cup of tea.” It seems to be an acquired taste, and while it was prepared well, it’s probably not something we’d order again.
The Verdict
Even though the Wellington wasn’t for us, the ribeye more than made up for it. It’s a beautiful spot in St. Louis for a birthday or a nice night out. We left full and happy!
We tried the crab cake which was rich and flavorful. The sauce went well with it.
We ordered a side of truffle fries which we did not get, which we were offered to have come out but declined as our main course had already arrived.
My partner had the chicken which did not seem
like a lot but tasted decent.
I ordered the Beef Wellington, Chef Ramsay’s signature dish and I was sorely disappointed. While the excellent cut of beef inside was tender enough to cut with a butter knife, the tough outer “carapace” was the only thing that brought flavor to the dish (kinda like a pot pie). The sauce was a suggestion and there was not enough of it to help try to balance things.
There apparently is supposed to be sauce within between the shell and the beef, but that was not present as the bread shucked off exposing a relatively plain tasting hunk of meat that was not seared, unseasoned, and had not been brined, cured, or marinated at all. We ate the Longhorn Steakhouse last week and as much as their filet lacked flavor this was, incredibly, more bland.
The desert was a redeeming finish to an otherwise plain tasting meal. For this price point, and having a celebrity chef’s name attached, I would have expected more.
Something tells me the food here is too far removed from the vision of Chef Ramsay. Perhaps he should pay a visit and try it.
BUT overall service went downhill as the night went on. Our server was very nice & knowledgeable but we became a forgotten table very quickly. For us paying over $100 a person for the meal, we expected more. We were finished with our meal at 6:50pm and asked for the check. It took over 40 minutes for us to get our checks and for them to run our cards. We did not leave the restaurant until 7:30. We all work in the service industry as well, we understand times get busy but there should be more hands on for how high of a standard this restaurant is. Very disappointed.
