We stop at Ramen Ryoma every time we’re in Portland. For our family, this is hands down the best ramen spot we’ve found throughout our travels. We always order the Ryoma Ramen with miso broth, along with the pork gyoza and teriyaki chicken skewers, and everything is consistently excellent.

It’s usually busy, but even if there’s a short wait, it’s absolutely worth it. The environment and vibe are great, and the service is always top-notch. This is a must-stop for us every time we’re in town.

we loved it here! i loved my curry bowl, and both appetizers, especially the garlic edamame. the waiters a were all kind and attentive. the service was quick! (but we also beat the lunch rush, so maybe that’s expected) nice corner-restaurant-in-a-city vibe

I liked the food here.

Chicken karage was great! I like that there’s options for 2,4,6! (a bit stingy to say 25 cents for sauce, im used to being given sauce by default)

Takoyaki was amazing! I really like it! I like the presentation and especially the sauce that came with it, its like a creamy egg sauce, i just wish maybe a little less flour inside the takoyaki

Ramen:
The Tamago Mayu ramen was delicious! Choose ur soup base to your liking, some are lighter, some are thicker.

Spicy umami ramen is quite spicy! Wish it was less oily though, def had to drink a lot of water,

General: i wish there was option for thin noodles, i’m not sure im a fan of the thick noodles

Overall still yummy

Ramen Ryoma is one of our favorite spots in Portland. The ramen is always so flavorful and perfectly cooked you can tell they care about every detail. My husband and I love coming here for a cozy meal; it’s consistently delicious and satisfying every time. Highly recommend if you’re craving amazing ramen!

Incredible Ramen! The broth flavors are crazy, the depth and richness was excellent. Absolutely worth it! The garlic Edamame was wicked! The staff members who greeted us and served us we very friendly, and the food came out very quickly. Definitely a highlight of our trip to Portland

I really enjoyed the food I had here, though my partner less so. I got the curry rice bowl which was really flavourful (and I got the large size but didnt realize it would be that large!), and the takoyaki had this eggy sauce that I personally loved (I love eggs but I can imagine some people might not have liked it as much especially since you don’t expect it to be like that). We got chicken karaage as well which was really good, though didn’t come with enough sauce and we ended up asking for a takeout cup of sauce for the leftovers we took home. The ramen my partner got was disappointing though, we’re not sure if it’s just because he picked the wrong soup base or we’re too used to having tonkotsu type ramen, but it was a very thin light soup that didn’t have much flavor. My partner also got pot stickers but I forgot to ask him how those tasted – probably good but not amazing since he didn’t say anything about it during dinner. The staff were super nice, the place was quite busy but we were able to get a table right away as a walk-in (it was a Tuesday night). I’d definitely come back next time we’re in Portland, but probably not for the ramen.

Ten fold my favorite ramen shop in Portland bar none. I’ve been coming here at least once weekly for the past year at this point. The miso broth here is the best I’ve had ever, the noodles are wonderful and uniquely thicker than other places I’ve been. The bowl size is considerably fair for the price, the appetizers are all great, and they have good options if Ramen isn’t your thing but your friends want to go. I prefer this location over the Beaverton location because the atmosphere is miles better, and the staff are all very personable and friendly.
10/10, must try even if you think you’ve found your favorite place, at least for the miso and noodle texture.

I don’t get it why this place is so popular. The ramen wasn’t good at all, the broth was extremely salty and the noodle always doesn’t taste good. The chicken kaarage was okay. I get it. The price is on the lower end but the taste of the ramen isn’t acceptable in my opinion.

We had a wonderful dinner and the service was incredible even with how busy they were. Don’t let the crowd deter you. We out our name on the waiting list and minutes later we were called to a table. We got the spring rolls, gyoza, and spicy ramen.

I don’t pretend to be a ramen connoisseur, but I thought this was extremely tasty and well-portioned for the price. A 12 oz Sapporo was 4 bucks and my meal was another 14.5. I don’t think you’ll be sorry about choosing this one.
