Small spot, named appropriately- it’s tucked in the alley between stores. The entry door is very much a speakeasy vibe. Inside, you’ll find laminated menus on a ring laying on a nearby table. It’s a tiny spot, with community seating at tall top tables with backless metal stools.
You order at the counter, pay, find your seat and they deliver to you. I had the tonkotsu and gyoza. It was a solid 10 out of 10! That ramen will heal your soul, or anything that ails you. The gyoza was delicious. It was SO good, I forgot to take pictures!

10/10 would recommend.

I couldn’t decribe the food in any way other than quality. The Raman here has the perfect umami flavor that you can taste the care it was made with in every bowl.

The service is fast which is crazy because you can see them delicately place and prepare each bowl as you wait. And I’ve yet to visit and see the staff without a friendly disposition accompanied with a genuine smile on their face. This food is something to take pride in.

The atmosphere is perfect. This “hidden” gem is a perfect example of what a good AUTHENTIC ramen place should be. Although it’s not a secret place, because of its location it sure feels like it! Because of that, this would be a great place for a first date if you’d like to make an affordable but cool first impression. Equally this is a great place to host a lunch business meeting.

Seems to be a steady business and I am sure there are times where you have to wait, but they have many tables and seats at a large counter. I’ve never had to wait to sit.

I travel for a living and I have eaten at ramen places in Chicago, Tampa, Orlando, Ocala, Buffalo, San Francisco, Anaheim, Indianapolis, Nashville, Knoxville, and Atlanta. There has only been one place in the nation I like better and only because of the unique noodles they make. Even then the difference is very minuscule. However the broth at Ramen Alley is second to none. And if you know ramen, you know that’s the star of the dish.

To the restaurant- congratulations on making an epic full package ramen experience.

Oh and they serve beer and saki 😉

Decided to check Ramen Alley out while in town for work and I was definitely not disappointed! The location lives up to the name considering it is literally in an alley. I drove by the night before to scope it out and did not even see it.
I ordered a Tonkotsu and it was very good. The broth was silky and delicious and all the toppings seemed fresh. I would definitely recommend checking them out if you like ramen or if you don’t and you’re feeling a bit adventurous.

Tucked in an alley in downtown Columbus, the name is spot on. Japanese owned and operated; a real gem for the city. Visiting Columbus? Traveling through on business? Need an authentic healthy meal? This is a great choice.

Delicious tonkatsu ramen however, I was also sold some pork dumplings and these were served lightly fried on the bottom and Frozen in the center. At Ramen Alley you pay at the start of your dining experience and I left a good tip expecting good food. It’s best to not tip here until the end of the meal.

What a special treat to find an authentic Japanese ramen place in Columbus!!! The gyoza was excellent, the broth of the ramen sooooo savory, love that they have la-yu as a condiment, they have both calpico AND ramune as drinks, and lastly, DANGO on their dessert menu! Highly recommend for a quick lunch spot, to bring family or friends, or even a solo meal. They even have a punch card. ☺️

We arrived a few minutes before open. The ladies allowed us inside to wait and look over the menu. Once ordered our food arrived quickly. The Tonkotsu ramen was DIVINE. the Gyoza was piping hot and had a crispy side that gave it the perfect amount of texture. It was juicy and absolutely delicious. The red bean mochi came later on a cold plate and was phenomenal. The tables are beautiful, the atmosphere is welcoming and honeslty a whole vibe. The ladies working were cheerful and welcoming and seemed to enjoy what they were doing. We stopped here for lunch to finish up our anniversary trip and we left thinking an almost 2 hour drive would be worth it just for the food alone.
