Good atmosphere, not crowded. Staff was friendly, tables were comfy size. We all had breakfast foods for lunch. Smothered burgers tasted good, well seasoned. Eggs were decent. Rye toast was delicious. Hash was less crispy than I prefer. Meat Omelet was good. Crepe was also approved.

Ogden 12th street location We used to love coming here for breakfast on the weekends. As of lately the atmosphere is really heavy and unfriendly. The people up front aren’t as friendly as the ones before them had been. There unorganized and scattered . Anymore there’s no hello or good bye see you next time. Your lucky if you get asked half the time if you want a receipt. It’s starting to stink like its dirty and unkept. More then not we have to ask to have our tables wiped down after being sat at it. The walls around the tables have food flipped on them. Under the tables dirty. The carpet looks horrible and gross. Which is probably part of the smell. The servers are not as happy and friendly as they used to be. They have a heaviness about them. They all seem stressed and on edge anymore. One of the male servers if he does want to wait on you. Will push you off onto someone else. He’s really not very friendly. We pulled up one morning and the kitchen help was out back smoking. Which is fine other then they still had they’re gloves on while they were smoking. First thought in my head was I hope they change those before doing whatever they do in the kitchen hoping they weren’t Cooks. I wanted to leave and go some where else but we were waiting on others to show up. It’s sad because it used to have the home grown family business feel. The feel that has you coming back to a place. It’s differently lost that touch and feel.

NOPE! (That’s the answer to the question….” Will we come back here?).

1.5 stars isn’t an option, but it was a touch better than 1 Star.

The employees were nice, I’ll give them that much. However….. it’s a fairly long list of things that were weren’t happy with.
Our drinks were served in dirty cups/glasses TWICE! First…. One water glass was covered in some kind of white substance (guessing maybe dish soap). My wife pointed it out before she even made it to the table surface and the server said “wipe…good eyes”. Really…. It was pretty much covered? Then…. My wife’s coffee…. when we showed her that the coffee mug she had just sat down had lipstick on it, she said “well, it’s not mine”, and then she took it. My wife finally got her coffee after about 15 minutes and asking two other employees (individually), and the second finally brought it. My breakfast order had to be made a total of 3 TIMES due to not being what I had asked for, and on the 3rd I finally gave up and ate the over-hard eggs that were supposed to be over-easy. Before we left, I purposely laid the toast out that I had received so that they could all see that it had never been warm enough to even come close to melting the butter. All in all, we LOVE Ramblin Roads, but apparently there’s something about Bountiful and Layton (before Layton closed) that makes them A TON better than Ogden.

My compliments to the chef! This was the best French Toast Combo I’ve had in a long time. The bacon was excellent. My hot chocolate was also spot on! Sadly, a server can ruin an otherwise great experience. Tanesha did not say hello, welcome us in, or introduce herself. She walked up & said I can take your drink and food order. ?? We kept having to correct her as she was not engaged on any level in taking care of us. Then, she brought us the wrong drinks. Then she basically threw our food on the table – it slide to about the middle of the table & she walked off!!! My eyes were probably popping out of my head in disbelief! My husband tried to stop her as there wasn’t any syrup on the table and she hadn’t brought my hot chocolate either. Nope – she had better things to do. We were near the front desk and I wonder if the cute hostess overheard and came asking if we needed something. The server never asked us how our food was, if we had everything we needed… literally nothing. Then, she slapped our receipt on the table while engaged in conversation with her co-worker at the end of our table. She didn’t thank us for coming in, or say have a nice night – nothing. Anywhoser… I highly recommend this place for the food, but I guess, good help is hard to find.

Nice little Diner. Very friendly staff. our server was kind and attentive, checking on us often. Pancake was light and fluffy. Pork chop special was OK, not great, it had small bones that could easily be accidentally bitten on. Country steak was very good, crisp even being smothered in gravy. Eggs and potatoes were good as well. Nothing is incredibly seasoned. But still had a nice comfort food taste.

Just a ok experience, coffee tasted watered down, CFS looked like it was from a package, the gravy wasn’t thick at all, almost see through. Wouldn’t recommend it for the price.

So bad. Salad was served very wet, to the point of seeming like they store it in water. That alone can make you sick. Canned gravy, canned green beans, potato flakes. It definitely tasted like mom’s cooking and my mom was a horrible cook. I’m pretty sure the cook has never actually tasted real versions of some of the things they are turning out. Ice machine was broken. Things like that happen but it was what put me over the top, washing down my terrible meal with warm and flat dr pepper. The waitress was super nice and probably the only good thing about the place. The hostess wasn’t very nice and if not for her, I wouldn’t have even posted about this place. I would have let it quietly go. She instead had to make a big deal about how much of a favor she was doing by not charging us for a meal that was so bad we didn’t eat it.

This is for the Ogden location.
My wife, daughter, and I went to Ramblin Roads Friday night at about 7. We started with pickled fries, which were fine. My wife ordered the chicken Alfredo and was not impressed. She said she has had better out of a box. The entree came with soup and the clam chowder tasted like canned Campbell’s soup. My wife also found a black hair in her pasta, unfortunately she had already eaten most of it by the time she saw it. I ordered the meatloaf and it was awful flavorless mushy meat. The potatoes and gravy that came with it were grade school cafeteria quality. My daughter didn’t end up eating her sandwich, so we have no opinion. The French fries that came her sandwich were good.
The worst part about the whole meal was the bill which was $74. A glass of coke was $4 each. We would have been more satisfied had we just go fast food or just cooked at home and we would have saved money.
We love to support local independent small businesses, but not this place. We will not return.

I was a little skeptical about coming here since I hadn’t heard much about it, even though I’m a local, but we had our office Christmas party here and it completely exceeded my expectations. Most of my coworkers ordered breakfast, and I went with the hot open-faced turkey plate with mashed potatoes, gravy, and a salad. It was absolutely delicious, and I cleaned my plate.

It’s also a great atmosphere for larger groups. Our server was friendly, fun, and outstanding. Five stars all around.
