Fantastic Thai restaurant in Dundee city centre very close to the V&A and the railway station. Authentic Thai cuisine cooked by owner Ian’s Thai wife and served by Ian’s Thai father-in-law. Amazing lunch time special of a starter and mains course for only £14.95. What’s not to like?

Out and about in Dundee, we stopped at Rama for lunch. Parking can be found outside the restaurant and in adjoining streets. Disabled parking available close by if you can get a space. Easy to access the restaurant. Staff were welcoming and friendly. A good choice as they have a lunch time menu at a good price. Good food and a nice lunch.

The food was generally nice, but we found the portions of the starters to be extremely small, which was a bit disappointing. One unexpected surprise was the complete absence of coriander in any of the dishes — even the Pad Thai — which felt unusual for a Thai restaurant. We had to specifically request some to be brought to the table. That said, the service was friendly and attentive, which we really appreciated. With a few small improvements, this place could be much better.

A quite pleasant restaurant. Quick service and friendly staff, especially the manager, who knew how to create a great atmosphere. The dishes were very tasty; we ordered Tom Kha soup, fried beef, and duck. We also had wonderful rice—sticky and jasmine. Everything was served on beautiful tableware. The tables could use a refresh—it’s clear the restaurant is very busy.

Visited with friends, got a table on a very busy Saturday evening, as hadn’t booked. Friendly staff, bright spacious restaurant. We ordered a starter to share, then chicken dishes with two bowls of rice also to share. All our food was delicious, freshly made, and well presented. Finished off with cocktails, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. I recommend visiting here 🙂 🙂

Was in the city and looking for a dinner location with colleagues and saw this on Google and thought we would give it a try. Managed to get a table as very busy for a Monday evening. Food was delicious, great choice and very good value. All cooked fresh and pipping hot. Would come back when we are back in the city

What a fest I think the best Thai restaurant I have ever been. Fresh food and ingredients. The food tasting delicious. Tom yum soup made from scratch not paste. I am gluten free and dairy free. No problems at all to allocate that. I can’t recommend it more. Just eat!
