Racist towards Hispanics. Young white guy (dirty blond hair) who works there said it closed at 10pm, we arrived at 10:01pm. Google said it closed at 10:30pm. Then when a seemly white family of 4 appeared at 10:05pm he served them without hesitation. When confronted on why the others were served despite saying it closed, lied about being a new employee and not knowing when the it closed. To provide further background, when my white friend went before at around 10:25pm, no problem being served then.

Service and quality has dropped off a cliff since it opened.

Staff seems like they’d rather be anywhere else on earth than serving ice cream to the public.

I know ice melts in the summer heat but it seems like some products are handed to you 1/4 liquid already.

I absolutley love this place. But parents who have kids working here. Ask them how the boss treats them. Its quite alarming to hear how a grown man treats his workers. Any adult would quit. Its just disturbing how a fun family oriented place has a mean crusty old man treating the young staff like sub humans.

Updated 4/14/24. Everytime I rush there after work to arrive 30 min before closing, the current staff will not serve anything but ices. More often than not, they close 10 minutes early and when they don’t, they close even earlier.

This used to be our favorite ice cream shop. A few years ago they had the kindest people working there and would whip up whatever sundae you requested if they had the ingredients. Now, the kids that work there are very quick to say “No” to your ice cream order with an unpleasant demeanor. 80% of what’s on the menu is not available because it’s either out of stock or the employees just don’t want to make it because they ‘”cleaned up that area” already. The last 6 times we went there:
•soft serve was unavailable or
•shakes were unavailable or
•we were given a flavor of ice cream we didn’t order or like, only to find out when we got home or
•they closed early 4 out of the 6 times

They opened in early March, for the season. This kind of service teaches you where NOT to go anymore for the entire season. We felt badly giving up on them so we stuck it out (the same thing was going on in the fall of last year) but ice cream nights are supposed to be fun nights. If you close at 9:30pm, you should serve until 9:30pm. I respect that many employees don’t like when a customer arrives at 9:25pm (I didn’t as a kid either) but these are your posted hours and this is your job. Many people need jobs today and would feel happy to have a customer at all (plus a tip). Many business owners would be grateful for the chance to serve their community. You never know who you’re networking with. If you treat people professionally at an ice cream shop window, you might just meet your next boss who would be happy to hire you after college graduation.

The Ralph’s in Port Jeff & Wading River is worth the drive for service, quality & value!

Always an excellent treat- my favorites are strawberry Twisters, chocolate milkshakes, and vanilla soft serve cones, but I definitely need to try more flavors of the Italian ice because I love the ones I’ve had and so many on the menu sound amazing! The staff are friendly and wonderful, and everything I’ve ordered at this location has been perfect. There’s often a line but for good reason, and it’s only a short wait because they are able to process the orders very efficiently 🙂

Price gouging at it’s finest. On the app seamless, $11 for a vanilla cup with sprinkles in addition to a service charge. This is one of many taking advantage of the service charges post “covid.” Unacceptable, canceled my order.

I am extremely dissatisfied with the service. The repeated errors in my orders are unacceptable. Despite giving your establishment another chance, both my friends and I experienced the same issues. It is unreasonable to ask me to pay again when my original order was not properly taken.

Truly a great time! I brought the family and got the peanut butter crunch, wow was it good! It was fan flipping amazing! I highly recommend anyone reading this gets one too, the rest of the family got different things that they seemed to enjoy too. It was a great trip with some great ice cream and a huge list of flavors truly something for everyone!

Went there at 10 after 10 on 3-31-23 and the sign says they close at 10:30. Online says 11:00pm. When I approached the window at Ralph’s the two girls were less then happy to see us. I asked if everything was okay based on there poor attitudes and they said they were closed. I asked when they were gonna change there sign due to the fact it said 1030 and with a poor attitude she replied when she has a chance.
