I recently visited the restaurant and had an amazing experience. I tried several traditional dishes including Yomari, Juju Dhau, Buff Steam Momo, and Choila, and everything was incredibly tasty. Each dish was fresh, flavorful, and authentic. The momos were perfectly steamed, the choila was well-seasoned, and the juju dhau was rich and delicious. I visited Razamati yesterday, and I honestly had such an amazing experience. I ordered the Jhol mo:mo and it was absolutely delicious easily a 10 out of 10! The flavors were authentic, juicy, and perfectly seasoned.
I also tried the chicken curry with butter naan, and it was incredible. The curry was rich, flavorful, and cooked perfectly, and the butter naan complemented it so well. Every bite was satisfying.
The food tasted fresh and full of flavor, and the overall experience was great. I would definitely recommend Razamati to anyone looking for delicious food and a great place to enjoy a meal with family and friends.

We were excited to try this new Nepali restaurant. The food was fine and not that special Newari food.
However, everything felt very overpriced. Charging $15 for a non-alcoholic drink was honestly unbelievable. Thanks for the experience, but we definitely won’t be coming back or recommending it to anyone.

False advertising at its finest. Rajamati Restaurant and Bar spreads a lot of misinformation online about their ‘authentic’ taste, but the experience is a total letdown. The flavors are non-existent, and the quality of the ingredients is highly questionable. There was a distinct, off-putting smell to the food that suggests it wasn’t fresh. If you are looking for genuine Newari cuisine, this is NOT it. It’s a shame to see such a great food culture represented so poorly.

Small but well appointed Nepali restaurant. Very attentive service. I got steamed dumplings and goat curry. Curry had good flavor but was a bit fatty. Good experience overall.

We used to come here often when it was Nepali Chulo, and later Mantra. This was our first visit since the new management took over and renamed it Rajamati. The previous owner, Ramesh, is a good family friend, so we’ve always supported this place.
We were a group of five — three adults and two kids (ages 6 and 11). When the bill arrived, I noticed they had added a 20% “large party” charge. They told us that any party of five automatically gets a 20% gratuity. For two small kids? That feels unreasonable.
In an economy where everyone is already feeling the pressure, we make an effort to support local small businesses. But practices like this make it really hard to continue doing so.
I’m extremely disappointed, and I won’t be returning anytime soon. This is beyond ridiculous.

First time eating Nepalese food. The sampler is a great choice and the chumeswari. The lamb chops were cooked to perfection and came with a very interesting/good dipping sauce.
