The owner is a lot of fun, had us laughing most of the way through. Really enjoyed the savory lunch offerings accompanied by an excellent salad. Of the pastries the plum tart was my favorite, it was delicious. Cheesecake and chocolate whipped cream cake were excellent as well. Highly recommend stopping not just for the sweets but for lunch with dessert to follow

Everything was lovely. It was mere serendipity that we came across this little pastry shop on a Saturday morning. From the homey feeling, the freshness of the pastries being made as we sat by, the simplicity yet richness of the decor, the owners know their craft perfectly, are extremely attentive (not to forget hilarious) and all the food is done to perfection. We got the stuffed brioche, the puff pastry, the profiterole puffs and hot chocolate. It seems a lot but they were all surprisingly light yet filling.

I have driven four hours for the sole purpose of visiting this bakery. The proprietor makes the experience feel like a visit with your favorite uncle, and his witticisms keep you laughing the whole time. The empanadas are an absolute must-have, I have never had better in my life. The stuffed brioche is a one-of-a-kind experience, filled with incredible cheese and spinach. The “Johnny Depps on a plate” (profiteroles with fresh whipped cream) are deservedly the headliner dessert, and no meal at Rainbow Sweets is complete without them (and I mean a meal, 3 courses minimum). I have tried at least 4 of the specialty pastries, and every single one has been incredible. From chocolate cake to fruit tarts to poppy seed cake and cheesecake, everything is uniquely delicious. The food is absolutely worth every penny, and the atmosphere of the bakery is homey, warm, and eclectic. Every wall has photos and posters to observe, and the music playing helps set the tone. Overall, a visit here feels like a visit to an alternate pastry dimension where everything is delicious.

This marvelous little gem is worth the detour off of 91 North or South. A European touch of old world class and charm. I had the amazing empanada with Greek salad. Did I mention the pastries? My third visit. I am going back for a Lemon Poppy Seed cake to share with friends. Try anything…..you really can’t miss.

Fantastic place! Whenever I’m in the Marshfield area I make sure to go out of my way so I end up at Rainbow Sweets. Bill is an absolute delight and makes your visit worth while even before you taste one of his wonderful confections. As the one negative reviewer pointed out, it would be nice to have prices listed so you know what you’re getting into. I can’t wait until the place re-opens later this month 😀

Small 6 table cafe with outstanding pastries and desserts as well as delicious, home cooked foods. Everything baked, nothing fried or anything like that. Had delicious spanakopita and baklava. The owner is incredible, personable, and quirky. A must visit hole in the wall.

Great owner, Groucho has nothing on him! Superb food and atmosphere. He is a pastry artist. We will drive out of our way to patronize this place. Highly recommend it.

Rainbow Sweets and it’s proprietor, chef and host with the most, Bill are wonderful. This is one of those places you don’t know about unless someone tells you it’s there, and then you stop by every time you’re in the area… sometimes more than once. Take in the scenery on the walls and enjoy an Empanada and a pastry. If you’re too full, you can take it to go.

This place is a true gem!
We had a great dinner with dessert here. Bill is a fun and pleasant guy and the food was excellent.
Don’t drive past this place. Stop by if only for a snack, even if you aren’t hungry!
