For a fantastic sushi meal, Rainbow King in Bel Air, MD is worth the trip for a huge variety of rolls, each made on site by their sushi chefs overseeing the tables from their stocked prep area. The staff is incredibly positive and pleasant, and only after a few visits begin to remember you and make efforts to welcome you back. At this point, we are “regulars” and it’s still just great service. The decor includes an atmosphere aligned with Asian bistro/village restaurant, but attention to details and presentation could get an update. Things have always been clean and tidy (no worries there), but adjustments (not changes) within the space would be welcomed.
But we go for the food – and presentation and quality are outstanding as well as the experience. Flavors are spot on – from the simplest salmon or avocado roll to the elaborate like Naruto and Ocean rolls (our server recommended the Ocean, and it’s just an absolute favorite). You definitely start your feast with your eyes, and each time you are further pushed to enjoy more than you expected to eat! Their Roll Combos are an awesome value as well, and highly recommended as a pairing to a specialty roll for the whole table to supplement from. One other thing to note – it’s a little perk.. the wontons brought to the table while you wait are the wide noodle versions – fried to perfection and SO MUCH better than the thin strips of most Asian restaurants – they are never stale!

Best sushi in the county! It always tastes so fresh — their selection is endless. I have a few favorite rolls but I always try something different and am never disappointed. They also have a great spread of appetizers and entrees. My siblings love the hibachi dinners. They also have a great ramen soup. The servers are always very nice and attentive – never had to wait to long for a refill! I think the general atmosphere could be improved a bit in terms of seating, bathrooms, etc. But overall it is a great spot.

A hidden gem in Harford County. My family goes here every couple months and always enjoys. Reasonably priced and a good variety on the menu so even if sushi and bento boxes aren’t your taste there is something for everone. Try the pineapple rice, with chicken and cashews its my favorite there.

A fantastic place! As a vegan, there are quite a few options. My favorite is the tofu Ho Fun (without egg to make vegan) and inari sushi. Very kid friendly. Service is fast and courteous. Awesome place for a birthday meal as well, they really make it special. Highly recommend as there is a lot of variety.

Such an amazing value! I got the Shrimp Roll Dinner and I had so much food for under $20!! The people are kind and courteous. It was cold and rainy when I went in and they invited me to sit at a table until it was ready.

We’re kinda new to the area and we only went to Thai spice for sushi until we discovered. Much better sushi selections and I have to say that it taste better. I do wish they had better beer selections. Asides from that, The servers are very attentive and the food is really good. This is our go to place for sushi in Bel Air now.

I ordered a birthday-shaped sushi cake for my twin brother, and it was incredible! They prepared it in under an hour, and for just $50, I got nearly six rolls. I’ll definitely be doing this again and returning for more! They also gave us a sparkling birthday candle ✨

Don’t usually complain but I Ordered online, pork fried rice- Dry, no flavor, rice was white not fried. Vegetable egg roll filling has the texture of mushy pees. No soy sauce packets were included for the “fried rice”.
