Locally owned tavern that is absolutely worth checking out if you’re in the area! My girlfriend and I tried the stuffed flounder after seeing a couple next to us order it and it was by far some of the best seafood we’ve had in awhile! The creamy sauce they use complimented the dish very well and the mashed potatoes and green beans were delicious. The wings were also tasty and come in a variety of flavors. Plenty of beers on tap, TVs to watch sports, friendly and efficient staff, and great decor!

First time there last night. Was with 4 friends. We called for a reservation and even though they only take large party reservations, they set up a table of 5 for us and held it.
Myself and another friend had the steak tips. They were cooked exactly as we both requested. Another friend had the stuff fish. She said it was the best she’s had in a long time. Our other 2 friends split chicken fingers, potato skins and onion straws (sorry no pictures). They raved about everything. It was a very busy Monday night but our server did her best to keep up.
Even brought us separate bills without being asked.
Good food, service was good, noise was a little loud but not restaurants fault.

Outstanding lunch at Railside Tavern. Food was warm, fresh and seasoned to perfection. Texture was on point. Price was competitive for value. Service was warm and friendly. Atmosphere was cozy.

Awesome place!! From the food to the service it was all fantastic! Our waiter, Gavin was awesome! Place was very busy but our waiter always checked in with us. Food was delicious and fairly priced! The menu is huge including everything from appetizers to burger and sandwiches and a lot of seafood dishes! The New England clam chowder was so good and creamy with very tender clams. The stuffed flounder and lobster ravioli were also great and homemade pasta?!!! Soo good. We will definitely be back!

Went for lunch on Christmas Eve and we had a great experience there. The food was outstanding service was good and the place spotless. Great atmosphere. Amanda was our server and our bartender and she was outstanding as well. Loved the clam fritters especially. this place is definitely a hidden gem.

What a lovely little place. The atmosphere is your normal local restaurant, with the dinning side and the bar side. You will be able to ease drop on multiple peoples conversations and that’s what makes me love this place even more. This is my second time here, seafood seems to be a big hit, which you wouldn’t think for nowhere Dayville CT. But give it a shot. Fish and chips huge portion, fish tacos amazing, knock your socks off and the fish and cake taco is awesome. The chowder and fritters were top quality, love a good clam. Calamari was good, nothing to write home about, portions are big enough, save the money get a second drink. Give it a go, sit bar side have a good time with good beer and good people

This is a very nice restaurant in the heart of Dayville. The food and the service were excellent. We started with the Portuguese stuffed clams and New England clam chowder. The whole belly clams were fresh and delicious, we also had the fish sandwich and Railside burger. Awesome! Highly recommended if you are looking for a nice restaurant with great food and service.

Excellent experience!! Came in with a large group worried about it being too late for service but the staff was absolutely wonderful. Big shoutout to the servers Gavin, Sydney, and Sam, as well as the kitchen staff, who were all above and beyond!!! As someone who has worked in restaurants for over a decade, I know how stressful it can be to deal with big parties near closing time, and the kindness and hospitality shown by the team at Railside Tavern was really phenomenal. Food was spectacular, service was unmatched, I could not recommend this place more highly! Thank you guys again for being so accommodating and welcoming.

This is my second time getting the steak sandwich and each time it was the most tender steak! Asked them to caramelize my onions and they were done perfectly! Also their pickles are amazing! Delicious job chef!
