Great gastropub food!! They introduced onion rings, which are great here on their own, but they’ve upped the wow factor by drizzling onion soup onions and cheese on them, and WOW, are they delicious!!

This is my second visit. My first visit we sat out on the patio. The entire wall to the restaurant opens up and extends the dining onto the patio with the little pond and sprinkler as a backdrop.

Great location, nice new facility with new and clean atmosphere (and bathrooms), great food and a killer beer selection.

It’s becoming popular fast, so get there early and don’t miss out.

Enjoy.

Has a brewery vibe with the open floor concept. Off the beaten path but certainly worth going to. Newer restaurant. Seems like a good place coworkers come to hang. Order the Chick’n Mac and was so creamy and good. Definitely a lot of food, was only able to eat maybe half and had the rest the next day. Highly recommend!

Very minimalist decor, friendly happy hour vibes. I had good, solid service and the food was fantastic.

They serve very large portions but I did the grilled chicken Mac and cheese and a side salad and they were both great. I spent $20 for my entire meal – the prices are very reasonable.

Next to Aloft hotel, with a beautiful private party room overlooking the fountain/water feature behind the hotel and indoor and outdoor seating. I highly recommend stopping in here. They’re still on their soft opening, so expect some changes, but I will definitely be coming back during my stay in Wichita.

Went on Friday evening during their soft opening around 6:00 PM. All the staff seemed knowledgeable of the menu and bar offerings, and were kind and courteous. We orders the fried pickles, the Poutine Burger and the Jala-Poppa burger with fries. Also, ordered three beers and the total for all of the above was around $55-very reasonably priced. The menu has lots to choose from and the pricing is appropriate for the portion and quality of food. Most definitely will be going again! Love that this is so far north in town as well-Greg for Bel Aire/Kechi/Park City residents!

I’ve been in the mood for fried okra so we went to Rail Hoppers this past weekend to grab lunch. There’s something about whole fried okra that sets it apart from what you find at most restaurants. Rail Hoppers, just like its sister The Anchor, nails it. For my meal, I had the Burn, Baby, Burn. My wife chose the South x Midwest salad (which was huge) – both were delicious.

We came on a Saturday evening and was told the wait would be about 20 minutes. No biggie!
We were seated a little bit after 15 min. It took about 15 min before someone came and asked for our drinks and told us our waiter would be right with us. Once our waiter finally came over, we placed our appetizer order as well as our entrees. We sat and waited about 45 minutes before our waiter came back to check on us again and this was when we waved him over to refill a drink and asked how much longer it would be for our chips and queso. We finally got our appetizer after waiting an hour, followed by our entrees. Food was delicious! And priced accordingly. We ordered the open face haystack and the mushroom and spinach Mac and cheese. So flavorful and delicious! Atmosphere was pretty neat and open. When it came time for our check, our waiter came over, threw our check on the table and walked off to another table, didn’t even acknowledge us. We were just taken back by the terrible service we received. We weren’t rude as we know this was still their soft opening month and they were pretty slammed on a Saturday evening. It was just an awful first time experience, customer service-wise. Will we be back? Probably but not for a while. We will give them some time to work out all the kinks once they’re fully open before we return and hope their service improves.

Not overly impressed with my Friday happy hour visit. The service started really good with drinks being returned immediately until the waitress talked to a customer for 20 mins straight when my friend needed ketchup. The House Mac wasn’t anything fancy…pretty bland with very little extras and spices. The environment is a minimalist approach which is a little depressing when service stopped. Definitely waiting for The Anchor to open back up because I doubt I’ll visit Rail Hoppers again.

Owned by the owner of the Anchor (yummo), I was happy to see their menus were much alike. I went for lunch, and it is still the ‘soft opening’ time. The Ruben sandwich was delish.
They did manage to capture some of the charm of The Anchor in a larger space. The 4 star for the atmosphere is only because it was noisy and hard to hear for a normal conversation.
I can’t wait to take in the patio vibe when the weather turns warmer!

I tried the pastrami and the wife had a burger with bacon subbed out on a pretzel bun. Started off with fried pickles. It wasn’t very crowded which is my preferred and we sat out back by the water fountain.

The pastrami was fantastic. I probably would have liked it with some type of vegetable in it for some crunch but the meat was stellar, even more so when dipped in the mustard that comes on the side. Fries came out hot and crispy.

The fried pickles had a little spice and crunchy outside.

Waitress was prompt and polite. The only reason 5 stars were not awarded was just a lack of engagement.

My boyfriend and I heard about Rail Hoppers from a few of my co-workers so my boyfriend and I decided to check them out. Our server Mindy was so very amazing she even suggested things to try since it was our first time. We would most definitely go back because of Mindy. The menus that we got was torn a little bit and the first one I got had some grease stains it then Mindy grab us another one and it looked better but it had some tears in it. But other then that we had great time.
