I just had one of the worst customer service experiences of my life at Rahama African Restaurant.
I arrived at 7:00 PM, after a 4-hour trip and a Lyft ride from my hotel. Their website says they close at 8 PM, and I even called earlier to confirm. But when I got there, the older lady working at the restaurant refused to serve me, spoke to me with zero empathy, and even used Ghanaian language to insult me while I waited outside for my driver.

I explained politely that I just came from Texas for work and depended on Lyft to get there, but she didn’t care. Instead of showing understanding, she was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. It felt inhumane and inconsiderate.

This place is disorganized, dishonest, and lacks basic customer service.
You can’t claim to close at 8 PM and start turning customers away at 7:00 PM — especially after confirming on the phone. I refuse to spend my money where customers are treated with such disrespect.

Avoid this restaurant. The service is terrible.

I’ve ordered on two occasions from them.the first time i got the khebab and meat pie. The meat pie was a bit cold but honestly everything tasted good. i loved the khebab so much that i ordered more that same day. Right when I got home from college for break another time i got fried plantain and beans, khebab again and fried yam with turkey tail(everything was through uber eats) i absolutely loved everything. it reminded me so much of home(Ghana) and the spice was perfect (really spicy but we know ghanaians love spice) I luckily haven’t encountered any issues from them and the food wasn’t spoiled and tasted great. It was even got when served. Overall i really like the food and i hope that it stays the same whenever i order

This place has very poor customer service, I placed an order through their website and was missing a lot of items. 4 drinks and 1 Entree.

They ran out of something, so instead of substituting it or giving me partial food, they didn’t include it at all. They didn’t refund me until I called them twice. I love African and Ghana good but this restaurant is not worth the headache.

Also the assorted fruit juice is just Powerade .

I love to support my local businesses, so when they opened I went there a few months back and didn’t like the attitude of the lady there and the food wasn’t good. At that time I thought they’ve opened recently so maybe the quality of everything will improve. So, I went yesterday and I’m sorry to say but the lady’s attitude and the quality of food is worse than my first visit. I’m posting pictures just because I took them while I was waiting for my order. Bottom line I will not be going back again ever. Not recommended at all.

The food was great and prepared very quickly. Good value for Ghanaian food. We ordered Jollof Rice with Fried chicken, Fried Rice w/Fried Chicken, Fufu with Palm But soup and goat meat, and Rice with Palava sauce (spinach fish and beef). Everything was good. The fried chicken could have been fried a little longer since the pieces were really big (drumsticks). We considered dining in but we got the idea that with all of the furniture put away (chairs on the tables) it felt easier to get the food to go. I could have instead called ahead and picked up but again the food was ready very quickly.

I’m extremely disappointed and disgusted with my recent visit. The Okra soup with goat meat I ordered was clearly spoiled and had gone bad. The smell was overpowering, and the taste was revolting.

I was expecting a delicious meal, but instead, I got a dish that was well past its expiration date. The fact that the kitchen staff didn’t notice or care is alarming.

If you value your health and your dining experience, I would strongly advise against eating here.

Well worth it! In Ghana they have a saying, TIA (This is Africa). Seeing some of the peoples reviews, y’all need to know that in Africa, this Restraunt is legit.

I’m sad to see so many mentions of negative attitude. My fiancé and I both came here today and at first the lady wasnt warm but by the end of our meal there, after we spoke with her and shared some conversation she opened up beautifully and we had a great conversation.

Food wise, it was tasty, spicy, and the portions were huge. We just came back from Ghana last month and it was awesome to be able to get an African plate of food here in the States. That’s a first for me.

For those who think that the lady had a bad attitude, consider the cross culture and there’s more than meets the eye. I feel like it was worth the trip and experience if you want authentic African flavored foods and quality.

If I could give 0 stars, I would! This was a horrible experience, I had ordered a half pan of jollof rice from this restaurant and I guess they did not have it as it was during the last 1-2 hours before closure, instead of cancelling the order, they sent a PLATE of food that had a mix of all kinds of food on it (from beans to spaghetti). I was charged $100+ for this order (tax and all included), for a plate of remnants. This is really unprofessional from them. I called them about this and I was told they will call me back but never did.

It’s sad because I was happy to have an African restaurant I can order bulk food for mini events but was left dissappointed.

Meal was served in decent time, quicker than I expected.
Ordered Fufu and light soup
jollof rice and meat
Kebab and ginger drink.
It was all a hit. My kids approve of it, and they’re selective.
Portion was decent and well priced.
I’m sure coming back.

Like many people have commented, there’s always an issue with your food! They served us spoiled beans which was sour and very disgusting!!! Some food is good, but really hope there can be a better African restaurant around!!
