as you can see i was served the small end of the brisket which is usually the dry part of the brisket. But it was good for that part! Not to dry, and a good flavor. I picked the sweet and also the Houston hot BBQ sauce. Bothe were great in flavor and heat!! The jalapeno sausage has great flavor also! I think it would of been a lot better if they would of mixed the brisket because my preference is the extra moist and I didn’t get any of that part and wasn’t asked my preference. Overall it was a great experience for a place serving BBQ here in the north. Very competitive with my home state texas BBQ!

Rack Shack is definitely some of the best Barbecue in all of Minnesota. I stopped in recently and had the brisket, rib tips, and coleslaw. The brisket was nice and moist with a nice bark of smoke flavor on it. They ask if you want a fatty or non fatty piece. The rib tips also had a great smoking flavor and were smoked to perfection. I’m pretty picky on my slaw, and they definitely know how to do slaw here. Good balance of creamy, crunchy, and acidic. Not too sweet. Their selection of house sauces offer a wide range and are delicious.

I have heard great thing about this Bbq place in Omaha. I am extremely disappointed in my meal. The Mac and cheese looks nothing like I have seen in photos. It looks like it was heated and extremely greasy. Does not have cheese on it. The pulled pork does not have much to no sauce and it’s not flavorful. The only thing that is alright is potato salad. Will not be giving this place another try, will look for other bbq places or stick with Kansas City.

Honestly the best BBQ spot I’ve ever had. Ive been trying to find a spot and this… stands head and shoulders above other spots I’ve had. I haven’t sat inside, but every time I’ve had the food has been near perfect.
Food: Almost everything is good enough by itself without any sauce. The brisket, ribs, pulled pork, and sausage were all incredible. The jalapeño sausage was not spicey at all so no need to be scared there. The chicken wings and pulled chicken needs some sauce. The pulled chicken is within expectation but I had hoped the wings would be solid without the sauces. The Mac and cheese here is exceptional. I daydream and crave it randomly from time to time. The fries are pretty solid. I’ve tried both the sweet potatoes fries and the regular fries, just get the regular fries. The sweet potato fries seemed a little underwhelming by comparison. I’ve had the Houston hot and Kansas city hot. Both exceptional.
Service: I’ve never sat in, but my inquiries were always promptly answered and the employees seemed nice.
Atmospher: interior looks nice and is pretty clean from my visits.

Stopped in on our way back to Iowa and holy moly was it worth the stop. Meats were super tender and fresh. Sides were seasoned perfectly and their customer service was fantastic. Food was brought right out to us and everyone was super friendly. I now see why they have many awards for their meats. 10/10 will be back when we’re up north.

I stopped at the Eagan location today. Best beef brisket I have ever had in my whole entire life. It was my second time there and they are consistent. The place is cleaner than it needs to be. I really like it there. I have no reason to go anywhere else for brisket.

Had the pulled pork on an onion bun. Meat was flavorful, cole slaw was crisp and the people I brought with enjoyed their orders. Sauce is add your own for done in, liked all I tried. Staff was friendly and service was only a 10 minute wait. 100% worth it.

Great BBQ joint. Fast service, the cashier was helpful when asked for recommendations. Riblets were amazing. Brisket was good, but I don’t recommend ordering a lean cut, get a little fat on it, its going to help the flavor and moisture. The sauces are great, but be careful of their hotest ones, they aren’t messing around. Cornbread was sweet as honey, which is how I like it. Smoked potato was fine, we thought it would have more smoke to it.

Had the 2 meat (brisket and sausage) Lobo and it was a monster potato stacked with mac n cheese, coleslaw slaw, corn, cheese sauce and your choice of meat. Be prepared to loosen your belt if you try to tackle this meal. The sausage was good and brisket tender and smoky. Will definitely come back to sample some other things.
