It was Saturday around 630. The town was having a Christmas parade so parking was at a distance but loved seeing the kids smile. We both had prime rib. I was not a fan because it was smoked but he loved it. Salad has $2 upcharge like most places these days and was delicious. Baked potatoes were not cooked all the way but i dealt with it. Pickle fries needed to be in a basket with napkins to soak up some of the grease but was the best tasting fried pickles I have ever had. Strawberry daiquiri was delicious and had a huge beer selection. They were packed and looked understaffed but all of them were busting their booties. The people next to us were bragging about their wings being the best they ever had and kinda wish I would’ve got a order to go. 🙂

Rack and Helen’s is easily my new favorite restaurant! The food is amazing! I have been 3 times since my first visit and I have been trying new things every time I go. There are specialty drink menus there however I have not hopped on that wagon yet so I am strictly going to stick with the food side of my review. The staff has been friendly and welcoming every time I have come in and the food is truly good. The burgers are bomb! The tenderloin is huge and has a good flavor. The pizza is so delicious! Everything i have tried so far has been seriously good!

We had a large table of 13 as it was a work Christmas outing, and the server was excellent! Drinks always refilled, always taking away our dirty cups/plates, and very friendly.
The food portion sizes were large, 5 of us got our own orders of “Racks Pitmaster Mac & Cheese” and none of us were able to eat even half of it, which is what I have pictured in this review.
The dining area has plenty of seating with large and small tables, and there’s an upstairs area for even more space. Rack & Helens is worth the stop if in the New Haven area!

My husband just brought a pizza home from rack n Helen’s. It is undercooked and the pizza in the box looks as if it was dropped. Topping on the pizza were off to the side and not on the crust at all. The dough was almost raw! Needless to say, we did not eat it! Fire the cook! This was the worst pizza ever!

This is a great bar for food and conversation. The food was amazing. The staff was super friendly. I went with a few friends. There were plenty of TV screens to watch the games. It wasn’t too loud. We were able to talk without having to shout. I had the whitefish sandwich. It was perfection.

Went with a large group from work. Approx 14 people. All food made to order with no complaints. All food arrived mostly at same time. Only complaint is there is no designated parking. It’s a corner bar location on a main strip of a downtown small township. Mostly parallel spots on main and some shared back lots.

Service was beyond exceptional. Food was horrid. Chef needs to back off the salt. Rib tips were dry and tough and overly salted. Mexican plate was too salty also. Mind you I love salty things but there’s a limit and over that limit ruins a dish.

The food and atmosphere was good. Maybe needed another waitress/waiter. They seemed to be overwhelmed. The salsa and queso was a little to hot, maybe tone it down a notch or offer a more mild option.
You definitely got your money worth. I give this place a thumbs up and kudos to the staff for keeping up with a smile I might add.

Great place for Sunday brunch.
Our group of Bike riders rode across town just to eat there.

We stopped in during lunch. It was fairly busy because it is a place that locals like to eat at. Our waitress was attentive and really nice. We ordered quite a bit, but the wait wasn’t long. We sat in the family section because our son was with us and he’s not old enough for the bar. The menu has a lot to choose from and the portions are of good size. Very laid back, friendly place to stop in at and enjoy some good food. I highly recommend the jalapeno poppers, from the appetizer section of the menu, pepper with cream cheese wrapped in bacon and cooked with love….. delicious!
