Stooped in for lunch mid week as I was craving a shrimp po-boy. The place was packed which is always a good sign. Located the Buckhead area. No frills in this place, but there is plenty of seating. I got a table quickly and my server was swamped but provided great service. I went with the 9inch whole shrimp po-boy. They just list it as a sandwich. I don’t like it fully dressed so I get no tomato or lettuce with extra pickles and tarter on the side. The bread they use here is not traditional and actually has some seeds on it. It’s still very good. Shrimp as well seasoned and plenty of it. No sides for me. Great sandwich and very filling. Everything I saw come out of the kitchen from Italian plates, fried seafood, to sandwiches looked great. I will for sure come back and try some other items. I highly recommend a visit.

Everyone was awesome and the food is always absolutely amazing. Looking forward to my next trip back.

The Baseline: For a Cajun Casual Dining establishment the creole flavors must be represented, there must be cajun offerings to the restaurant, and the experience must be true to the spirit of a the Cajun culture.
Food: You will get fed at R&O! The portions are sizable and the flavors are there. The PoBoy is the really good go-to sandwich for R&O but also the Muffaletta is about 2-3 meals if you order the full. They are not messin’ around on sandwiches at R&O. The onion rings are a good, tasty fried appetizer but it is a mound of onion and batter. All in all this is a great lunch spot with a good way not to ever walk away hungry.
Service: Southern hospitality on steroids. Had a great experience with our waiter and all the staff. Kept my water and soda refilled.
Ambiance: No frills, no muss, no fuss. This is a great sit down casual restaurant that is clean and up-kept. Clean bathroom and easy parking.

I love their shrimp poorboy, the roast poorboy and the soft shell crab. The stuffed artichoke is excellent too. My dad got the veal and said it was delicious. A great no frills restaurant, good for groups and families with kids. They have a few arcade games and toy machines to play if you have to wait. A classic spot.

My first time here and was extremely happy with the food. The roast beef gravy was very flavourful, the Italian sausage sandwich amazing. Service was good and as expected for a place like this.

Come ready to get stuffed! There are few places I go where I feel that I got my money’s worth of food. R&O is definitely one of those places. It was a very busy Friday night, perhaps due to being a Jazz fest weekend, yet the line moved for our party of 3. It didn’t feel like a long wait. Our waitress was sharp, attentive and friendly despite how busy the place was. The food quality didn’t suffer. I had an excellent chicken fettuccine myself, my peers dishes were excellent as well. There is nothing bad on this menu. I guess the only con is that you have to be ready to get a doggy bag cuz you’re probably gonna need it. Curse you if you’d waste such good food.

This was my first and last visit to R&O’s. Our server, Ashley, was rude and seemed completely uninterested in providing good service. The drinks were just okay, but the water honestly tasted like toilet water. Do not order it.
We ordered the fried crab fingers, which were completely soaked in grease and had zero flavor. They were unedible. I asked for a small side of remoulade sauce, which she brought, but it was disgusting and $4 for just a tiny cup. She didn’t tell me there would be a charge, and when I mentioned it, she refused to remove it.
The kids’ fried fish plate was also greasy and $15. The kids’ shrimp plate came with only five tiny shrimp and fries for the same price, which is ridiculous. For just $5 more, you could get double the shrimp on an adult plate for $20. My friend asked to substitute onion rings for fries, and Ashley just said “no.” Not “no, but there’s an upcharge,” just a flat, rude no.
The place itself was dirty, the staff unfriendly, and the food greasy and bland. I had heard this was an old-school hidden gem, but it absolutely was not. Very disappointing experience all around. I will not be back.

It pains me to say this, but after YEARS of loving R&O, we felt that it wasn’t as great as we usually experience. It was a bit greasy and over-fried. Hoping it was an off-night and they’ll be back to superior fried seafood and onion rings soon.

This place was $120 for fast food quality. No sides are included. Price doesnt match menu for kids. Added charge for credit card. Won’t be back. Server was super nice and attentative, so not her fault at alln but how can you support this kind of place with prices like this.
