4 PC chicken tender combo is 11.99 on menu.
Actual price: 13.99, 15+ after tax.
Staff friendly, food hot and tasty. Prices are unreasonable and not competitive to the several chicken combos in the area.
I wasn’t impressed with my breakfast burrito. When I opened the wrapping I could smell burnt. The hash browns had black bits in them. Ruined the burrito. It was mostly hash browns and a few sausage chunks. Very little cheese. For a $11 burrito that I could only eat 1/3 of serious not impressed. Salsa tastes like ground carrots. No tomatoes or onions to be seen see pictures
A better place is Burger Mania in Sanbernardino cheaper much much better salsa actually they have 2. Same size burrito plenty of good ingredients cooked well. Never had anything burnt ever.
If you don’t mind eating in your car, there is a Nick’s burger south of this place just over the 10 freeway who’s food is phenomenal.
So there’s that….
However, before I was able to dwell on this sad fact my food was ready, bagged, and tenderly placed in my hands. I sprinted to my vehicle to get the food unbagged before steam destroyed its structural integrity.
The fries are quite thick, approaching steak fry territory. They are soft, without much crunch, but are cooked through without any grit. Greasy and heavily seasoned.
The burger, an Original with Cheese, was pillowy. Beef forward with a crumbly texture indicative of ground meat that is not manhandled and treated with love. The cheese flavor was mostly lost in the intensely of the beef, and unless you are a real lactose fiend, it might not be worth the extra 75¢. The vegetables provided texture but little taste. The burger sauce had a nice tang. Broadly pleasing.
Fiends peer down from the motel balcony, do they want me or my burger? Many such cases.
I was intrigued. I’m a sucker for a menu item shares it’s name with the restaurant. It is like when a character looks into the camera and say the name of the movie. The R Burger. Wonderful.
Returning at a later date, I order an R Burger, with cheese, French fries, Diet Coke. American classic.
The major change is the addition of avocado and bacon. While not personally very fond of avocado, it did not have the slimy character it so often has in these applications. The bacon was as good as should be expected from a place with such a large breakfast menu. I again paid extra for cheese, and my experiment returned the same result, very little cheese flavor pulled through, although with the more complex burger this was a forgone conclusion.
On another note, my fries did not have the season salt from previous visits. SAD!
Nevertheless, R Burger is the current leader of the semi-local pseudo burger chain (what’s with the Las Vegas location?) GOOD!
