Established in 1954 as a clam shack. Joanna Quito (Albert Quito’s mother) would sell fish ‘n chips on Fridays. Albert Quito saw the potential of Bristol and the beautiful location as an opportunity to develop the restaurant into something really special. Now Quito’s hosts over 32 tables and is open 9 months out of the year. We specialize in local fresh seafood done with an italian flare.

Bristol’s energy was palpable as we discovered a hidden treasure—a bustling fish market smack dab by the docks. The salty air was alive with anticipation, each breath a promise of fresh delights. We grabbed a sandwich, and what a revelation it was! The fish hit the spot with such freshness. This local favorite was a culinary masterpiece, lovingly crafted from the very boats that braved the sea for the freshest catches.
Watching the fishermen at work , The atmosphere buzzed with life, drawing us deeper into Bristol’s vibrant pulse. It wasn’t just a meal—it was a dive into local life, a snapshot of raw energy that defines this city.
Service was good as we ordered and sat outside , this is a small building . We left satisfied and truly in love with this slice of Bristol paradise. This is where the adventure truly kicks off. I will be back!
**HISTORY & CONTEXT**
Quito’s restaurant Nestled in the harbor waterway this eatery embodies the region’s rich maritime heritage. Fishing here isn’t just a job; it’s a way of life. Local fishermen have long depended on these waters to provide the freshest ingredients, ensuring every dish tells a story of the sea’s bounty and the community’s resilience.
She was at my table immediately after I was sat, got my drink right away.
I knew I wanted the lobster roll, I was undecided on what soup or chower to get.. As she returned with my drink, I said which one…. she chimed in right away… lobster bisque… you want a bowl… if you get a cup you will want another.. Just get the bowl… I listened to Lauren and shortly there after, the ridiculous bowl of meat shows up with a light, very flavorful bisque type broth covering the insane amount of lobster meat… a hint of sherry perhaps?
Bar none, no other bisque has ever come close to this quality as well as quantity of lobster…. not just random pieces, full claw meat chunks… insanity I tell you.
I also ordered the lobster roll with the mayo.
The roll is dwarfed and almost hidden by the illegal amount of lobster covering it, stuffed inside it, next to it… with a very very light mayo coating… perfect!!!!
If i had a second empty roll, I could have made a second giant roll with the amount of lobster claw meat from the original roll.
The lobster was firm and crisp in both the bisque as well as the roll.. not limp , not soggy… I believe that the meat in my roll and bisque was living a happy life in the bay until I ordered it… that’s how fresh this meal was!!!!!
I can’t say enough about the service from Lauren as well as the obscene quantity and quality of lobster that I just consumed.
It wasn’t cheap, BUT it was absolutely worth the money I paid no question.
Thank you my friends for an unbelievable lunch.
Service was great despite it being a busy Friday night. I would recommend going if you are hosting someone from out of town or for a date night. Nothing beats being on the water.
The food was just ok, I enjoyed the views of the water and the park outside the restaurant was great.
Parking is a bit tight but we were able to find a good spot. I would give this place another try
