Quinn makes pretty good coffee. Everything else was great!
Creamed chipped beef, scrapple, sausage egg and cheese sandwich were all wonderful.
AND, the bill came in below what we expected.
Went w/ the Big Breakfast, a lot of food for the pice.
I gotta say, I was really impressed with the Food, service, cleanliness and overall a great spot to eat.
Customer service was top tier by the elderly lady.
Coffee upon arrival was served.
Definitely will be coming back whenever in the area
Place was a bit crowded but manageable.
The creamed chip beef had a strange, off taste, and the cream sauce itself was extremely under-flavored. After shaking the pepper like a tambourine I was eventually able to breathe some life into this dish. This was strange for me considering I almost never touch the salt and pepper shakers in a restaurant, and definitely never had to for creamed chip beef before.
The thin, chip-like homefries were definitely a unique twist. However, they reminded me of stale, unsalted potato chips that have been left out of the bag and in a bowl at some family bbq for a few too many hours. Each fry had a mixed texture of crunchy, soft, mushy, and the overall flavor was just bland. By bland I don’t just mean they weren’t seasoned, but I couldn’t find a single glistening grain of salt.
The booth we sat in wasn’t the most comfortable, and being only 170 pounds, I was still afraid the creaking bench was going to collapse from under me at any given moment as it drooped, somewhat lopsided, and moaned sounds of a wooden bench that simply had enough. Overall, I really do have to say the staff was very nice, and I do feel somewhat guilty giving it three stars, but after all, you are coming here to eat.
Go with the reuben.
