No complaints here. Ready super quick. It was still warm after 1h 30 drive. The arepa cakes were fresh and stuffed heartily. The smoked salmon flavor was excellent. We enjoyed and were pleasantly full of vibrant Venezuelan flavors. Looking forward to eating from this restaurant group again

Staff was super nice. The food: Arepa del Caribe was awful *and* horribly overpriced. Quantity: lots of food. Smoked salmon, avocado, but then a half cup of cold shredded Muenster cheese, no sauce to hold it together. The “arepa” itself was like a cold sourdough pancake. I hit “no tip” but the computer defaulted to 20%. I did not feel like arguing it so total cost $20 for a sandwich I would not pay $5 for. Location, location I guess, plus lots of tourist walkthroughs, must be how they stay in business.

Recommended to me by a Colombian woman who said Quiero Arepas is “Colombian approved” – it was delightful!

We went at the height of lunch rush but the staff was nice and the food was cooked as quickly as it could have been by one chef!

We had the Pabellon and the Reina Pepiada and both were delicious. The plantains were to die for. The portion is large but I finished mine

We will be back!

Extremely disappointing experience that started with the staff being surly that we had the audacity to bother them to order food. We stopped here on Wednesday afternoon around 3:00p to grab a bite to eat in the Avanti food hall.

I ordered the Jamon y Queso Arepa with hot sauce and the Plantains to Share. The arepa was barely warmed–the outside had the faintest of grill marks, and all of the shredded cheese on the inside was mostly unmelted. The menu said that the side of hot sauce was supposed to be complimentary, but in looking at our receipt, we were still charged for it.

The plantains to share had a small bit of melted cheese on a single plantain and a glimmer of green sauce on top. Definitely not enough to cover more than 1-2 two of the plantain slices.

Overall, I was very dissatisfied with my experience. We have a Quiero Arepas closer to home as our neighbors in Platt Park. I would have loved to try that location, but the standard of service and quality of the prepared food has really turned me off.

Quiero Arepas is on the first floor of the Avanti on Pearl St. I had arepas and plantains and enjoyed them!

This place has high-end arepas and excellent fried plantains. They are a bit fancier and larger, perhaps, than street arepas in Venezuela, but I guess that fits with a Boulder location. The workers were pleasant and quick. I would return to this place.

Very disappointed. Not what I was expecting knowing how arepas from Venezuela or Colombia taste like. Cheese was not melted and arepas were hard not crunchy & plantains not sweet. Not really authentic taste.

I looooove this place. Unfortunately, either they are cutting costs or ran out of avocado. There’s none on here. I asked about it. They said “oh, it’s mixed with the mayo.” Yes, it’s SUPPOSED to be. Maybe one slice? It tastes, smells, and looks like chicken and mayo with a teaspoon of green sauce. Maybe they had an off day… but this isn’t reina pepiada like I’ve had here before and certainly a far cry from a Venezuelan kitchen. Sorry guys. I’ll.try again another time.

All I tried from here was their side dish of plantains but it was so yummy!
