There are so many tables. Some beverages from the machine are out of service for a long time.
The salmon is better than the tuna and the service is really fast.
Went here on a Sunday evening for dinner and, upon walking in, the restaurant’s open, industrial atmosphere feels a lot like a Chipotle. We were the only patrons in the building so we were able to walk up to the counter and immediately order.
I got the beef hibachi with noodles which set me back a little over $7. Not a bad price.
The food took about 10 minutes to make. They cook everything to order and all the food comes out piping hot, which I thought was cool.
Unfortunately, the meal just wasn’t that good. It was okay…but certainly didn’t knock me out of my chair. It was just bland. Pretty disappointing because the pictures on the menu looked so good.
I’ll also say that I wasn’t impressed with the staff. The cashier who took our orders was nice and did a good job, but the man running the grill looked disgruntled and spent any off-minutes he had on his phone. I don’t really care that much, but it just felt a little unprofessional.
In the end, I don’t think Quickway is going to be my go-to Japanese restaurant. My journey continues…
I ignored it, enjoyed meal, enjoyed the company of my date and began to pack up to get ready to leave at 9:33 P.M at that same moment Sam here the gentleman in red on his phone screams “HEY… HEY… HEY WE’RE CLOSE!!!” which was extremely rude, he could have came up to us politely and let us know or send someone else to since there were multiple employees in the building.
My Date lets me know that when she checked the closing times it was 10:00 P.M, I went to go check outside, and it was! So I went up to Sam the young rude man in the red jacket and I wanted to ask him “why does the sign say you close at 10” as soon as I said “sign say” he kept cutting me off mid-sentence and said “we’re closed” 5-7 times when I was genuinely just trying to figure out if he was aware the sign had the wrong time and that they needed to update it but from his response I knew he was closing early, and he walked away from me the last time I tried to ask.
So I did what anyone would do in that situation, I sat right back down, unpacked and began to eat my meal (my date was cool with it)
A couple walked in right afterwards and Sam the rude young man in the red jack was so irritated with me he yelled at them “WE’RE CLOSED!!!” only for them to embarrass him to let them know they ordered a pickup meal and he didn’t apologize to them about that either, and chucked the their meal in front of them instead of handing it.
At 9:38 P.M Sam the young rude man in the red jacket turned off the lights(Proof in the pictures), I took his name and while surfing then web to find Quickways corporate information, I found out that it even says they’re open till 10:00 P.M on their website so at that point I knew I was in the right, and I sat at the table until 10:00 P.M and left.
If Sam really wanted to go home early and risk it all like he did tonight I would have been cool with it had he spoken to me as a human and not as trash, was honest, or if he just didn’t say anything, anyways we were just about to leave. I didn’t talk to him rude, with attitude or anything and I didn’t respond when he yelled at me either; I was so confused for any of the conversations that we even had, I was to busy trying to piece it all together to even have emotions.
I don’t believe that he represents the restaurant and what they have to offer because I’ve went to others and everything is perfect, but it was more than enough to upset me.
I would say I would never come back but I will. Only to sit in the lobby till Sam close the store at 10 whenever I’m there 😉
