Gem on the Embarcadero. Shrimp poboy was excellent – bread rivals Liedenhiemers (IYKYK). Proprietor was enthused to see a Louisiana and gave us samples of his gumbo and chowder. Both extremely good. Also gave us a order of beignets – these were over the top GOOD!

The wife and I had lunch here today. Went with the shrimp basket with sweet potato fries & coleslaw. Portion size of the shrimp (12) was generous for the price. Definitely recommend this place based on the location and prices.

Greetings from your nations capital! This establishment was amazing! I went in today on a whim coming from Sail GP and I am so glad I stopped! I had shrimp and fries and I ate ALL OF IT! It definitely reminded me of Louisiana style food like my grandma used to make…It was also nice meeting the owner’s sister. She was very nice! 🙂 I will be back when in town…I’m glad they took on their mom’s recipe’s…EAT HERE….that’s all

Absolutely the best place in the area!
There were five of us with lots of luggage, and we couldn’t find a place to leave it anywhere. We spent almost the whole morning looking for baggage storage, but had no luck, until we came here.
The staff helped us so much! They were incredibly kind and even let us leave our bags for free while we visited Alcatraz for three hours.
The burgers and tacos are just perfect!

Had a mango margarita and a shrimp basket. Shrimp basket was ok. Shrimp were a little overcooked and a little small. Mango margarita was decent but for $20 plus tax, I probably would not have ordered it if I knew the price before. Overall, I probably won’t make another visit.

I only had a cup of the gumbo because I wanted to try other things but I’m gonna walk back down there soon as the gumbo is a welcome switch from clam chowder; it’s also on this menu too. The beignets were fresh and better than the ones I had at a couple other places.
I took my time eating cause my nurse friend came to join me and she had the shrimp po’boy!
I got up too fast after having a few hurricanes to wash it all down…
Great service and delicious food I’ll be back
Enjoying my day off and I have absolutely no problem eating this food alone
Did I mention I walked down here and almost beat the bus and hell yeah I’m walking back down the pier…the long way

A great location for lunch!!! Yummy chicken tenders and highly recommend the bbq sauce. The fries are so good too. Recommend the Pinot Grigio as a refreshing chilled white wine. Stop by friends!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

For 2 adults and 3 kids it was $165!! I got a catfish po-boy and the batter was grainy like there was sand in it. My husband had 3 fish tacos and found a hair in his food. The 3 kids had chicken strips which were very basic. The drinks were bottled from the fridge. The clam chowder bowl was ok. The bread bowl was delicious but the chowder was mediocre. Very disappointed. I asked the cashier what she recommended, she said the chicken sandwich. I laughed thinking, I can get a chicken sandwich anywhere. Maybe I should’ve listened. Not worth the money.
