The food is very old and not cooked Fresh today . I understand that African food cannot be cooked the order because of the time and essence of the cuisine. But I do expect it to be cooked fresh daily. It was obvious that this food was frozen and reheated when ordered. It taste stale, old , frozen microwaved , And the okra soup was still cold in the middle. . This was a waste of my hard Earned money I do not recommend this restaurant and I would never order from here again. I can’t see that if you catch them on the fresh day, it might be good, but I definitely was given old food today when I called and spoke with the owner she was not willing to work with me. I didn’t want her to admit that the food was old, but ask her what would be a good day for me to come back and she can remake my order because I was aware of what happened today. She was not willing to work with me or suggest a time for her to remake my order when I was letting her know that it was obvious to me, and I knew that the food was old. I tried to support businesses in our area, But I definitely would not eat from this location ever again and do not recommend it. The food is not good quality and the cooks and owner do not have integrity for the product of they are putting out.

I had the pleasure of getting my order taken by Queen Vee herself! So sweet and she answered every question I had about the foods I wanted to try. We ended up eating at the restaurant getting the goat pepper soup, Egusi w/ fufu, jollof with chicken, plantains and Suya. The restaurant was clean and bright, bathrooms were clean as well.

The goat pepper soup had the perfect spice level and a ton of meat!

Egusi was amazing as well. Think we had goat in that one too (a ton of it)

The suya was juicy, not the drier cuts. They use purple onions with the suya that are incredibly strong for the meat, so I’d recommend them soaking the onions in a cold ice bath or using sweet white onions instead. The suya also came with a side of refreshing cucumber pieces. It was a nice treat after experiencing so many tasty spices in one sitting.

The jollof, chicken and plantains was supposed to be to go, but once we opened the container, we couldn’t help but have a little taste…but tell me why we ended up eating half the to go container IN the restaurant! Momma Tami (I believe that’s her name) came out from the back and laughed so hard at us almost finishing it before we got home.

Overall great experience! Friendly local business that has great potential to franchise if they wanted. I felt at home here and like these were my aunties and elders. Will definitely be back!!

So I used to buy fr this restaurant and it was good so I decided to stop by yesterday to get some suya and beef stew, this food was so nasty I couldn’t even eat it. I wasted $30 on food I couldn’t even eat and on top of that there very rude. I will never go back, if you can’t afford your ingredients to make the food the proper way just don’t make food simple.Food had no taste and I love African food, Guess I will go to Tolex and the one on Hambrick rd.

The food was fairly good. However the service is terrible..I Recently ordered rice and turkey for my husband and rice and beef for me. They gave him my order in a tied black bag around closing time. I took my food out and he took what he thought was his food and went to work. They gave him rice and fish instead of rice and turkey. The fish did not look like fish just a chunk of meat. My husband is severely allergic to fish. When I call the next day and explain what happened nicely. I figured they would own their mistakes and give me the joloff rice and turkey I ordered, or a refund . Totally Forgiving the fact they almost killed my husband in their negligence. When I get there with the food from the day before. They told me that they would give me the turkey without the rice and basically implied that he should keep the “fish contaminated” rice because they were not going to make more because he ate 2 out of the four plantains. I almost lost it. 3 out of the four women was cackling and sucking their teeth like I’m trying to get over on them for $20 half of what was paid and he tipped..no concern, acting like they didn’t almost kill someone. I told them keep the turkey and give me a refund for his food. They said no. And did not want to give me my receipt of purchase. Because it was proof of how they gave me what they had left from the end of the day instead of what I ordered also how they raise prices if u not paying attention.. I feel so deeply in my spirit that the rice and fish I brought back. Went back. into circulation I regret not throwing it to make sure they didn’t resale it. I will not eat there again. Calling every referral I referred. And letting them know of this injustice. And also the integrity of this business

I am always on a search for a delicious Egusi for my daughter & myself. One of the issues we run into is that the meat is too tough, or if the Egusi soup isn’t spicy or can’t be made spicy per our request. However, after stumbling upon Quneen Vees’ restaurant, I we served some of the best soup I had ever eaten! I asked if they could make the soup extremely spicy & they were able to do it. I would appreciate it if they could give a better portion serving because the bowl was only halfway full or at least allow the option to buy additional soup that’s why ive rated it a 4 as opposed to 5. The instead is pretty chill. However, there were plates left out on a couple of tables that could’ve been cleaned up if I decided to dine in. That’s why I rated a 3 instead of 5. My meal was great & I’d order again! Oh, I substitute beef instead of the goat.

I have never had African food. This was my first experience and the employees was so very nice. She literally did a video for me so that I could post it on my social media. Please try this restaurant. I drove all the way from Macon, Georgia just to have this.

First off I’m going to say that they have good food.

However, I passed by several equally as good restaurants closer to where I live and a few dollars cheaper just to go here. I got home about an hour after getting my food opened my container and realize I just paid $24 for not half but a quarter full container of egusi. The turkey makes it look full but literally it’s just enough to cover the bottom. I’m super upset. I could have went somewhere else and know for sure to get what I paid for smh I also asked for a side of the red tomato sauce. Just look at what I was given. I feel like I just wasted my money and I can’t get anyone on the phone

I rarely have the chance to get to different African spots cuz I live far enough away that it’s always at least an hour to get somewhere. I saw this on my route home, stopped and ordered the okra soup. I didn’t specify rice so I got fufu that’s okay but the service was quick. Food was super hot and so delicious and spicy, I had to leave a review. I’m so glad I found the spot cuz it’s actually maybe 45 minutes from me and I will be back for sure!
