Went for our first anniversary dinner. Lovely atmosphere, great service and yummy food and drinks. Our waitress surprised us with a “Happy Anniversary” dessert. Will definitely come here again.

Our waitress was wonderful. Seven people in our party. Steaks were cold, way over cooked and like leather. Grilled Shrimp was overcooked cold and tiny. The redfish was burnt up and sent back. The grits and shrimp was very good. Brussel sprouts was amazing. The waitress was very embarrassed when she delivered the food and stated so. She made some adjustments on the bill but was still almost $400 for a party of seven. She stated the cook had issues. Overall I would give this experience 2 1/ to 3 stars at best on a 5 scale.

Jodie tried the mushroom Gnocchi excellently done. I tried the Cod fish and chips parmesan fries very tasty, I wish they had cole slaw with it. Nice historic hotel well preserved.

This was our second visit. We really enjoyed the decor and ambiance on our first visit; found the service and food enjoyable as well and were looking forward to lunch today. Sadly, it was a big disappointment. The service was marginal at best. We were told the soup du jour was “something Italian”. When we asked if she could be more specific, she returned and informed us that the soup would not be ready for 45 min. This was approximately at 12:30pm. When our food arrived, neither dish matched the description on the menu. Diavolo was bland and missing any jalapeños. The Cuban was served with cold ham, dry shredded pork on a grilled ciabatta bun. Honestly.

I don’t like to give negative reviews, because everyone of us can have an off night, but there were some real failures here this time.

This is definitely a gem in downtown Palestine. My wife and I both had the 8oz filet with the roasted asparagus and a baked potato, and for the appetizer, we got the Dynamite Lumpia. Everything was cooked to perfection, and in the tea, they even used tea ice cubes, so you drink doesn’t get watered down. For desert, we got the Crème brûlée and the pumpkin pie. It was definitely one of the best steaks we have ever had. Our waiter was very helpful and attentive. The restaurant was clean and had a wonderful open dining area. This was our first time here, and we will definitely be back more often.

Delicious food, great service and a wonderfully quaint atmosphere. Attached to a historic hotel this grill has salads, sandwiches, pasta and chicken. The club sandwich was great with juicy chicken and fresh avocados. The chicken Caeser salad was divine. The creole pasta was very flavorful. It was a great time and if you are in the area it will not disappoint.

Bree did a great job hosting our birthday party of 12! She was so helpful with bringing out the kids food early and chilling the birthday cake until we were ready and then providing a lighter for the candles. The food and drinks were lovely.

We recently stayed at the Redlands hotel which has queen st grille inside. Both experiences weren’t great. We ate for an early dinner and both my husband and I got a pasta dish with chicken and our chicken was way undercooked and my husbands “sauce” was more of a soup. The next morning we took our kids to the Santa breakfast. It said they opened at 9am so we got there around 8:50. By 9:15 the doors were still locked with a line building of people waiting to get seated and let in. I called the hotel while waiting in line to let them know and by 9:20 you could see people inside setting the tables and opened the doors to let us in by 9:25. My son asked for orange juice and the waitress didn’t seem to know if they had any ( a little confusing to not know ) and when I asked her if we go to the buffet she said she wasn’t sure and it was only her 4th day. My 9 yr old son then found a hair in his orange juice which made him not want to eat anything afterwards. Then the buffet ran out of pancakes for over 15 minutes which was one of the few things my 5 year old would eat. The workers all seemed overwhelmed. Santa was awesome and that was about it. Overall poor experience and disappointing.

OMG!!!!This place is elegant with an exquisite fine dining appeal. The menus options are an excellent value. My steak was so deliciously tender and juicy. Really, I could cut it with a fork. Our waiter was very attentive and super nice.

It was our 22nd year wedding anniversary, and we were so fortunate to have found this place. Our dining experience overall was truly pleasant. Thank you for the wedding deserts that were on the house and making our anniversary date an eidetic memory.

THIS is THE restaurant to enjoy the finest dining of Palestine, Texas! (Actually, perhaps the best in East Texas!) Built 1914 for railroad visitors, the Redlands Hotel has been modernized without losing its soul! It is slightly upscale and don’t let the surrounding area cast any doubts on the fabulous food and service you will enjoy!!

Our welcome was gracious in a very friendly East Texas way. It felt genuine and with heart!

(Tip: ask for Ariel. Absolutely one of the best servers I’ve experienced in months! She is attentive without being in your way, outgoing, full of energy and smiles plus builds a rapport that few but the skilled at elite fine dining establishments can do. Seriously!)

The menu is full of options and while we were seeking to stay on our diet, we were able to have decadent flavors while eating healthy. The Queen Dinner Salad up front set the stage for the super dining experience! With a quality spring mix, it was put over the top with sweet pecans, strawberries, feta cheese and to die for pear vinaigrette!

The pecan encrusted salmon I had was the best fish dish I’ve had in years! (I eat a LOT of fish!)

Ariel was close to winning me over to a serving of pecan cobbler, but I knew that would bust my diet as well as belt. (But, oh, was I tempted!)

Price was really reasonable for the quality, taste, appearance and elite service! Make sure you ask for Ariel!
