This place has a certain aesthetic nostalgia to it that is reminiscent of a 50s diner meets taqueria. The staff was very friendly. We did have to wait a little bit for the food but the place was packed which definitely says how good the food was. I got their cali burrito. The asada had a really good char taste to it and the texture of the burrito over all was great. Also look at the cheese pull in the photo. My wife got Carnitas nachos which were totally loaded. We will be back.

I came for tacos. We tried 4 different tacos: Mar y Tierra (a special with shrimp and carne asada), Chorizo, a short rib taco with toasty cheese (a special), and Cochinita Pibil (a shredded pork with pickled red onion).
My dad had the Mar Y Tierra and he said the shrimp was amazing!
I would go back and get any of the tacos we tried except the Cochinta Pibil, which is what ordered, because it tasted okay and I enjoyed the flavor of the pickled red onion, but the other tacos were delicious in comparison.

The salsa bar was yummy also.

I have been here two times and I think it’s the best Mexican around. Such a good menu from steak to fish. Plus the entire staff is so kind and always check on the meal. For me, I don’t love spicy but the burrito and tacos I have had just had that perfect amount of spice.

This establishment has one of the best salsa bar I’ve tried in all of California. Prices are a little high but their burritos are bigger than average.

Pro tip, on each bite, pour some spicy green/red sauce then add the creamy green sauce and the Chipotle crema to cut through the spiciness. Magic! Perhaps chase it with a beer or micheladas!

YUM!!! I went all out and ordered an Anaheim Burrito minus rice, add pico and al pastor. It’s big enough to feed two so the $23 I spent on the burrito plus fountain soda could theoretically split. But it’s sooooo good I’m not sure how anyone stops eating it. The tortilla is a magical grilled but doughy taste, probably the best I’ve ever had. I arrived late, after 8 pm but didn’t have to wait in line. The staff were really helpful and nice and the place is cute, clean and relaxed. They play Mexican music which is perfectly fit for the place and they have three TVs. Also, they have CokeZero on tap and it’s mixed right. That’s icing on the cake! I love that you can sit inside or out. I can’t wait to return to try a breakfast burrito.

Que Vida Tacos is the real deal.

This place doesn’t mess around. The tacos are bold, fresh, and packed with flavor — the kind that makes you stop talking mid-bite. The tortillas are on point, the meats are seasoned perfectly, and nothing tastes rushed or watered down.

You can tell they actually care about what they’re serving. Every taco feels intentional, not slapped together. The salsas? Dangerous. The good kind. You’ll want more even when your mouth is already on fire.

The vibe is laid-back but alive, service is friendly and fast, and the food comes out hot and exactly how it should. No gimmicks, no trendy nonsense — just straight-up great Mexican food done right.

If you’re tired of bland tacos pretending to be “authentic,” go here. Que Vida Tacos delivers every single time.

Highly recommend

This is the first time I’ve been here since it has opened. The salsa bar is great. The place is clean and employees friendly. I ordered a quesabirria taco, carnitas taco and guacamole and chips. The tacos are good size and flavorful. The salsas just add to it. Anyone complaining about the prices, 1: Inflation, everything cost more. This is Ca. 2. Go to Del Taco or Taco Bell if you want a substandard taco and rude employees for $1.29. I would willingly pay more for a place like this.
