Social Profile:

Priding ourselves on having one of the largest selections of both fresh and live seafood on the West Coast, Quality Seafood is a unique dining experience. Everything we offer can be cooked and eaten here onsite, or prepared for you to take home. While our seafood is top notch, our dining experience is as casual as it gets. So come down, lay out some newspaper, crack some crab and enjoy a beer with those you love. We’ve been the South Bay’s home for Quality Time for 70 years, family owned and operated the entire time. The Redondo Waterfront and Boardwalk area id full of fun things to do and explore. Come down and see us, there’s really nothing like it.

Open since 1953 this stalwart shop offers fresh fish & seafood plus meals to eat in the picnic area.

Seafood Grill in Redondo Beach is an absolute gem! The food is incredibly fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. You can really taste the quality of the seafood — everything feels like it just came straight from the ocean to your plate. The grill dishes are juicy and well-seasoned, portions are generous, and prices are very reasonable for the quality you get.

The market section is also fantastic — clean, well organized, with a great selection of fresh fish, shellfish, and ready-to-cook items. It’s the perfect place if you want restaurant-quality seafood at home.

The staff is friendly, helpful, and welcoming, and the atmosphere is relaxed and cozy. This place feels authentic and local, not touristy.

Definitely one of my favorite seafood spots in the South Bay. I will 100% come back again and highly recommend it to everyone!

I was excited to try this place after reading so many great reviews and getting a recommendation from a colleague, but the experience was disappointing from start to finish.

The visit began with a frustrating parking situation: the paid lot’s card reader wasn’t working, forcing customers to download an app or register online just to pay. An unnecessary hassle before even reaching the restaurant.

The dock itself was quiet, with several closed shops, and the restaurant is located all the way at the end of the pier. Inside, the live seafood tanks initially felt promising. I ordered the ceviche especial and Camarones a la Diabla.

The ceviche was fresh, well-seasoned, and easily the highlight of the meal.

Unfortunately, everything else fell apart. When picking up my entrée, I was told the garlic bread wasn’t ready and to wait. Moments later, a worker who had been sweeping the floor — wearing the same food service gloves — went to grab bread for my order. I declined it immediately. Watching someone handle food after sweeping is completely unsanitary and unacceptable.

The shrimp portion was generous for the $19 price, but the flavor was flat. Potatoes and vegetables were cooked well but served in a broth, which isn’t typical for diabla-style shrimp.

One good ceviche couldn’t outweigh the food safety concerns. I can’t recommend this place or see myself returning.

Stopped by Quality Seafood on a Friday morning for a quick bite while staying at a nearby hotel, and there was no line. Ordered the grilled Ono fish taco and shrimp ceviche, and it pleasantly came with a small bowl of clam chowder. Everything was reasonably priced. The cashier was very friendly and greeted me with a big smile.

As for the food, everything was flavorful without being overly salty or seasoned, so I could really taste the natural umami of the seafood, all of which was very fresh. And the location is such a treat being right on the pier overlooking all sorts of boats on the dock. It’s a great place to relax after a jog or run by the water. Looking forward to trying more from the menu!

Everytime we visit the area we always make time to visit. No joke, this place would one of the places I would consider if I ever had to choose a last meal. I’ve never had to order for ourselves but what we had during this visit was steamed corn, fried squid, fresh oysters, clams, mussels, salmon belly, Branzino, Santa Anna female crabs, and a pitcher of Pacifico! Yum! You tend to look at other tables too see what they ordered and you sometimes get food envy. Plenty of parking nearby. I would imagine coming in early will get you the best selection of food items.

If you’re craving seafood in a true fishing village atmosphere, this is the place to go. Huge variety of fresh seafood – and they’ll cook everything right there.
Every experience I’ve had here has been consistently delicious and positive. Yes, it can get overcrowded on weekends, but it’s easy to understand why 🙂

The fish and chips are definitely a staple here great portions with great flavor. And the ceviche was so scrumptious and delicious I had a hard time finishing it so it’s great for up to 4 people. The staff is always helpful and upbeat. This is my second time here and it was better then I remember 2 years ago. Have to time it right, it can get to the point where there is no seating. And when you drive into the parking garage drive all the way to the very left back.

Fresh seafood restaurant and store. You can buy fresh fish or order food from their large menu. The food was good but it was a bit greasy for me. The prices were reasonable too.

I don’t recommend crabs because the black color is likely due to pollution or something else. As for oysters, don’t buy the expensive ones; there’s not much difference. Sea urchins are okay. Shellfish are okay. Lobsters are okay, just don’t cook them thoroughly.

Always love grabbing a bite to eat here whenever I’m in the area. Great quality, fresh seafood. Customer service is always top notch and the portion sizes are definitely filling. Can get up there in price but it’s worth every penny for the quality. Going to the pier for a walk is always amazing as well. Make sure to park in the parking structure near by the pier for closer parking to the restaurant.
