Let me tell y’all… QC Kitchen in Nashville is THAT place. If you’re looking for real honest to goodness soul food that tastes like it came straight outta your grandmomma’s kitchen, this is it!
I ordered the stuffed salmon with sweet potatoes and broccoli & cheese, and BABY… the flavors were on point. Perfectly seasoned rich, buttery and absolutely melt in your mouth good. My friend had the fried pork chops with sweet potatoes and mac & cheese and dear God… the way those flavors hit? Straight nostalgia. Savory comforting and seasoned to perfection.
Our server Jonathan deserves his own shoutout he was friendly, warm and knew that menu like the back of his hand. Every recommendation was 10/10.
The vibe: welcoming, comfortable and that playlist? Listen… it gave that 90s–2000s club vibe, the kind where you don’t know if you’re out to eat or at a backyard party ’bout to throw down with your cousins and friends. A whole vibe all by itself!

I wanted to try this restaurant again since the owner passed away. May she rest in peace. They have a beautiful homage to her inside the restaurant and her picture to the left as you enter. I was greeted as I came in and told to sit anywhere. There are a few regular table, tables in front of a long seat/couch, a bar with seats and three tables made like a pedestal in front of another long seat. Kinda uncomfortable but perfect seating to watch the game and news. If I remember correctly they have two televisions. One above the bar and one to the left above the long seat /couch. The menu was accessible through a QR code. I personally do not like that but oh well. I asked my fish not to be fried hard and it was perfect in every way. The greens were delicious. I ate them first. The macaroni was ok – wayyy too much cheese, too thick and just warm. My cornbread was cold and bland. When the young server came back around to ask me how the food was I told her it was cold like it came out of the fridge. She said that it did not and asked if I wanted another piece. I turned it down and asked for the check and to go boxes. The koolaid would make you smack your momma if you don’t common sense.lol. It brought back child good memories. Next time I’m going to have it with Vodka. The check came and it was 32 and change. They add a 20 percent gratuity to all checks.The fish, greens, and koolaid were worth it. This place has hookah too.

I feel like this establishment has potential but at this time the service is horrible and the food is mediocre. They were out of everything we asked for. The cooks were slow and cooking the food out of order that it was received. The Mac & cheese was nasty and soupy. The broccoli and cheese was soupy. The workers didn’t seem like they even cared that it was an inconvenience. They had no management to help run the restaurant. Not professional at all. It took over an hour to get food that was not right and there are very expensive and have the nerve to add gratuity to the order.

Went to this place because we were new in town. Came all the way from the Carolinas to this BS food. This is the absolute worse place ever. If you OWN this spot I need for you to have your face in the place. There is NO reason on earth for you to be out of certain foods at 5 or 6 pm. There is no reason for the wait to be over an hour and for you to be out of the majority of your menu items. If you have lazy people working for you I need for you to hire some people who want to work because using a spoon to eat macaroni with a spoon is unheard of ♀️ I try so hard to support Black businesses BUT THIS ESTABLISHMENT needs to shut down until they get their stuff together.
