Reviews
We ordered two regular coffees, and they were excellent—rich, smooth, and very fresh. The staff told us their coffee beans are imported from Yemen and roasted in-house, which really shows in the quality.
We also tried the Khaliat Alnahi, which was warmed and drizzled with their honey. The outside was slightly crispy while the inside was soft and fluffy—unexpectedly delicious.
We later tried their recommended Adeni Chai as well. The spices were bold and aromatic. It may not be for everyone, but I personally loved how unique it was.
Overall, a great experience and definitely a place we would come back to again.
Qahwah House is one of those places you visit as much for the experience as for the drinks. This location has a very lively, social atmosphere and feels more like a community hangout than just a coffee shop. It is busy, energetic, and clearly a popular meetup spot for friends, families, and casual dates.
Food & Drinks
The menu offers a wide variety of Yemeni-style coffee and tea options, along with pastries and desserts. The drinks are good and well prepared, though the flavor profile is different from South Asian style chai. If you are familiar with Indian, Pakistani, or Bangladeshi chai, this will feel lighter and more subtle. That said, the selection is extensive, and there is something for almost everyone.
Service
Service is solid, especially considering how busy this place gets. Staff are efficient and keep things moving, though this is very much a high-volume environment. Orders are handled quickly, even during peak times.
Atmosphere
This is where Qahwah House really shines. The space has a modern, trendy café vibe and is clearly designed for socializing. People come here to hang out, talk, study, meet friends, or just enjoy the energy. It feels welcoming and lively, and the atmosphere alone makes it worth visiting.
Wait Time
Expect lines, especially in the evenings and during weekends. During Ramadan, it becomes significantly busier after iftar, so plan accordingly.
Final Thoughts
Qahwah House is a well-known and popular spot for a reason. It is not just about the coffee or tea, but the overall social experience. If you are looking for a lively café with a strong community vibe, this is definitely worth a visit. I would recommend it, especially if you enjoy busy, energetic environments and trying something different.
But man their honeycomb pastry? I was so excited for that… but it was such a let down. Dry and not much flavor.
My friend and I could barely hear each other and nor have a decent conversation too.
This place wasn’t for me.
We got the iced brown sugar latte (comes w oatmilk) and the mango refresher.
Both tasted amazing, not too sweet or syrupy.
Service was great, will come back during colder season for the hot drinks.
A true gem . Welcoming Middle Eastern hospitality coming through the food, atmosphere and ambiance, paired with very friendly people working here.
Highly recommended
Note: Get the Pot (Better value , because you will want more after one cup).
