Let me start off by saying that food is food. Especially in America where good food is plenty and you have many choices to choose from. The reason why I am writing this review is because Qahwah separates from all other restaurants because of their hospitality and welcoming atmosphere. I mean don’t get me wrong. There Yemeni chai is addictive and desserts are tasteful but the workers there is what makes things run. I was waiting on a long line one day When Elden called me over and said you always order the 20 oz to go no sugar so if you want I can give it to you now. Or when I was waiting for an order and then iftar time hit and brother Zachariah and Naif gave me water and dates. May Allah always bless them. May they always be successful and may they always have what their hearts want. Special thanks to Ayman to taking my order with sincere kindness. It is the people that make the business. Not the business that make the people.

This was our first time trying Yemeni coffee, and we were pleasantly surprised by how large and beautifully designed the space is. There is also a parking lot in the back, which makes visiting very convenient.

We ordered two regular coffees, and they were excellent—rich, smooth, and very fresh. The staff told us their coffee beans are imported from Yemen and roasted in-house, which really shows in the quality.

We also tried the Khaliat Alnahi, which was warmed and drizzled with their honey. The outside was slightly crispy while the inside was soft and fluffy—unexpectedly delicious.

We later tried their recommended Adeni Chai as well. The spices were bold and aromatic. It may not be for everyone, but I personally loved how unique it was.

Overall, a great experience and definitely a place we would come back to again.

Overall Experience
Qahwah House is one of those places you visit as much for the experience as for the drinks. This location has a very lively, social atmosphere and feels more like a community hangout than just a coffee shop. It is busy, energetic, and clearly a popular meetup spot for friends, families, and casual dates.

Food & Drinks
The menu offers a wide variety of Yemeni-style coffee and tea options, along with pastries and desserts. The drinks are good and well prepared, though the flavor profile is different from South Asian style chai. If you are familiar with Indian, Pakistani, or Bangladeshi chai, this will feel lighter and more subtle. That said, the selection is extensive, and there is something for almost everyone.

Service
Service is solid, especially considering how busy this place gets. Staff are efficient and keep things moving, though this is very much a high-volume environment. Orders are handled quickly, even during peak times.

Atmosphere
This is where Qahwah House really shines. The space has a modern, trendy café vibe and is clearly designed for socializing. People come here to hang out, talk, study, meet friends, or just enjoy the energy. It feels welcoming and lively, and the atmosphere alone makes it worth visiting.

Wait Time
Expect lines, especially in the evenings and during weekends. During Ramadan, it becomes significantly busier after iftar, so plan accordingly.

Final Thoughts
Qahwah House is a well-known and popular spot for a reason. It is not just about the coffee or tea, but the overall social experience. If you are looking for a lively café with a strong community vibe, this is definitely worth a visit. I would recommend it, especially if you enjoy busy, energetic environments and trying something different.

Extremely impressed and happy with my experience here! When I walked in, the vibe was calm and it was very clean. This is a great place for someone to work on their laptop if they needed a quiet place + there’s outlets on walls to charge your device if needed. There’s tons of seating and nicely decorated too. Theres also a few high chairs if you needed and a parking lot behind the building. I ordered a latte and dessert and the presentation of the latte was so lovely and dessert was delicious. The service was quick and efficient too! I will absolutely be coming back!!

This wasn’t the place for me. Too loud and hectic. I tried their mango refresher and it was not that good and you could tell it was powder base. The hot chocolate was good – nothing special, but still good.
But man their honeycomb pastry? I was so excited for that… but it was such a let down. Dry and not much flavor.
My friend and I could barely hear each other and nor have a decent conversation too.
This place wasn’t for me.

Very clean and spacious area for sitting and relaxing. The honey drizzled and butter bread was toasted, delicious and perfect compliment to our drinks.

We got the iced brown sugar latte (comes w oatmilk) and the mango refresher.

Both tasted amazing, not too sweet or syrupy.

Service was great, will come back during colder season for the hot drinks.

With so many locations popping up across NY I can see why. Amazing coffee and good pastries. Service is not great. And can be overly crowded at times so long waits. But I must say I like how the coffee is served. So when dining in its definitely an experience
