We ordered pizza from Puzo’s in Hawthorne for an office lunch for the first time, and I have to say—it was one of the best pizzas I’ve had in the area, and we’ve tried plenty.
The classic cheese pie (pictured) really impressed me. The crust has that perfect balance: lightly crisp on the outside with a soft, airy chew inside. The cheese coverage is even, well-melted, and not overly greasy, with a nice bake that gives you those golden spots without burning. The sauce comes through clean and balanced—not too sweet, not acidic—and complements the cheese rather than overpowering it. Simple, classic, and done right.
That said, the real standout was the Chicken Vodka Parm (not pictured). Easily the best item we ordered. The vodka sauce was creamy and flavorful without being heavy, the chicken was tender, and everything worked together perfectly. It was a unanimous favorite around the office.
Overall, Puzo’s exceeded expectations and immediately earned a spot on our go-to list for lunch orders. Highly recommended if you’re in the Hawthorne area and want excellent pizza with standout specialty options.

Delicious! We were looking for a nice family Italian restaurant after a flight from South Carolina and we found the perfect place. James was so kind and made great recommendations. We had crab cakes and angel hair with vodka sauce and a personal pizza. The pizza sauce was very good and the crust was perfect. The crab cakes were scrumptious and very filling and the pasta with vodka sauce was amazing. What a nice place to enjoy a delicious meal!

One of the first restaurants I remember in my early life still has the same Mac and cheese taste that I have to compare everybody else to. Never better, only close. John is a cook who either still works in the back, or used to. He is short, and bald, and he is a person I consider family. The best bread, the best people, and the greatest restaurant in the world. Absolutely terrible customer service. Ordered dinner and the food was beyond lacking. Ordered a mixed app for $17 that looked liked a bunch of scraps thrown on a plate and the portion wouldn’t fill a child. The children’s ravioli for $10 came with 3 tiny raviolis!!! The pizza was also burnt. When I called to discuss this with a manager he couldn’t care less, just said that those were the prices and that’s what you get. Absolutely terrible customer service and I can not recommend. With so many good local pizza/Italian places in Hawthorne and the surrounding towns, I will not be giving Puzo’s another cent!

This is our go-to place for authentic Italian food. The atmosphere is relaxing & inviting, while the food is delicious. The bread on the table is a high quality semolina, served warm & with oil- and that’s just the beginning. Any dish you order is delectable with generous portions. I highly recommend the Shrimp or Chicken Francaise, both of which have an other-wordly flavor. Eggplant Parmeasan is hearty with a generous portion. There are so many things here, including the tira misu or Chocolate mouse cake for dessert, you can’t go wrong. This place hits it out of the park everytime. We love it here!

We took friends out to dinner and they chose this place since we live in AZ. We started with a pitcher of Sangria and it was very tasty. They served us some unusual but tasty bread with flavored olive oil. My hubby ordered the Lasagna and loved it! I ordered the Shrimp FraDiavolo, sauteed shrimp with white wine in hot marinara sauce served over your choice of pasta and I chose Angel hair. The shrimp, sauce and pasta was delicious I cannot remember what our friend’s ordered, They eat there a quite a bit and ordered their favorites. It was a very enjoyable meal and the service was excellent

We went for dinner were overcharged by over $20 on quiring we were told “this is what it costs now” and were pointed to tiny print on the menu saying “prices are subject to change” no changes were made to the printed prices on the menu.
Cannot recommend to anyone with a sense of decency and respect and honesty.
