I had a very good experience here. The food is the main strength—dishes like the satay chicken, tom yum, prawn cake, crispy spring roll, and mango sticky rice are well-prepared, balanced, and made with quality ingredients. Service is attentive and professional, with staff who know the menu and manage the room well. The atmosphere is comfortable and pleasant, doing its job without trying too hard. The Phuket Tiki Tiki cocktail tasted good and was well-balanced, though it leaned more toward presentation and flair than depth of flavor. Overall, it’s a reliable place for good Thai food, and a reservation is advisable if you’re dining with a group.

Great experience here! This was our third attempt at eating here, and we’re so glad we finally got a table. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious. We loved the chicken pad thai, pineapple rice, and pork belly krapao. Alsoooo the purple sticky rice with mango and taro ice cream was amazing. Will definitely be back!

When we crave for Thai foods during the weekdays (workdays) this is where we go not only because of the delicious authentic Thai dishes but also because of their quick service, perfect for those on an hour break only! The resto is just across Mind Museum or a block away from One Bonifacio, so it’s really very accessible and with nearby cafes to do your post-meal coffee break.

So far all the dishes are really good! We also tried dining at both ground and second floors and the theme and ambience is consistent. I would highly recommend this over the more costly Thai restos along HighStreet – the dishes here are more tasty and more reminiscent of the real delicacies in Thailand.

This is my second time visiting their restaurant, the last time was last year. My dining experience was superb! Staff was attentive. They even made us try a small sip of the drinks they would recommend, so we tried their blueberry matcha. It’s quite sweet but I do think because Thai drinks are sweeter. I love their pad kra pao because it’s spicy. Their pad thai chicken was also delicious, and even their Thai bagoong rice. Their tom yum goong is an acquired taste in my opinion, which I think is better suited with rice and not just consumed as a standalone.

Purple Rice offers a decent range of Thai dishes, though the experience was mixed. We ordered the Crispy Spring Roll (₱395), Fried Curry Crab (₱695), Bagoong Rice (₱395), Chicken Pad Thai (₱490), and Tom Kha Gai (₱490). The Crispy Spring Roll was average (6/10) — crunchy but lacking flavor depth. The Bagoong Rice also rated around 6/10, with Manam’s version still miles better in texture and taste. The Chicken Pad Thai was a letdown (5/10), overpowered by an excess of tamarind sauce that masked the other ingredients.

However, the Tom Kha Gai and Fried Curry Crab truly redeemed the meal — both rich, balanced, and authentic, easily scoring 9/10. The service was mediocre, with staff seeming inattentive at times, while cleanliness was acceptable but unremarkable. Overall, Purple Rice delivers flashes of great Thai cooking but needs more consistency and polish to justify its prices.

Our server was very attentive. For people with big appetites, servings can be considered as solo. Tastewise, food are flavorful. Catered to Filipino palate but close to authetic. Plating is very colorful. Stand out for me is the green mango catfish salad as well as the purple sticky rice, though the mango tastes abit out off season. Overall, the dining experience is great.

Went here for dinner with my best friend. We ordered a few dishes like Thai Cashew Chicken, Authentic Thai Prawn Cake, tofu, Pad Thai, plus drinks. The flavors were authentic, though the Thai Cashew Chicken was a bit too sweet for me. I loved the Volcanic Cha Yen and its presentation especially the torching of the marshmallow.
Our dinner was cut short due to a power interruption. We were almost done but wanted to stay a bit longer, then the alarm was accidentally pressed, which was a total vibe killer.

My kids are on a Thai food phase, so this is already the 5th Thai restaurant we’ve tried. I was really excited to eat here because of the many positive online reviews but honestly, I didn’t get the hype.

The bagoong rice was disappointing. The rice was hard, and it was probably the worst bagoong rice I’ve had barely any meat or mango. You can see it clearly in the photo I posted.

The Pad Thai was sad as well. I ordered the soft-shell crab Pad Thai, but half of the shell was missing. The crab was oily and not crunchy, and the noodles weren’t chewy at all.

The crab curry was just okay. The sauce didn’t really taste like crab, so it felt a bit flat overall. They also mixed up our order and I ask them not to put chili because kids can’t handle heat but they still did.

Sayang, because I really wanted to like this place.

The food here is mediocre. The serving sizes are small for the price point compared to other Thai restaurants in the area.

Tom Yum: Almost entirely soup with barely any protein.
Pad See Ew: Way too sweet.
Green Mango Salad: Lacked flavor. I think they missed the essential cilantro, which usually gives that dish a necessary “lift.”
Bagoong Rice: Such a big letdown. It was too oily and just didn’t taste fresh.
Sticky Pork Rib: Tasted burnt.
The only orders we genuinely liked were the Chicken Cashew and the Salted Egg Squid.

They offer complimentary crackers, but you can’t ask for refills without feeling judged! (They did give us refills, but made a point of saying it was the absolute last one. Lol.)

Overall, this restaurant is overrated. There are many other, better Thai spots nearby—like Sabai or Boat Noodle. Never coming back.

1st time visit here. Came in for lunch soon after opening. Glad we came in early. Got busy within the first hour.
Mabuhay for the food, service, ambiance and staff!
Received drink and water quickly. Received our entire entree orders all at once, what a pleasant surprise!
Dessert was scrumptious

Will be back for more!
