Fantastic! A friend and I stopped for lunch and we’re unfamiliar with the place. It was difficult to figure out if we seated our self of where a menu was. We ordered at the counter which has 2 small menu laying there and then find a seat. Limited beverage choices and smaller menu but the flavor of our food will make me want to come again

I had the 7 sea food soup it was ok but it had catfish and imitation crab in it could have did without that some cod and real crab would have made it a lot better I would probably eat there again but won’t have the soup again

First of all, I never trust a Restaurant that doesn’t have prices on the menus and deals only in cash, bit shady. Also not very busy and that tells me the food isn’t that great. It’s not that busy and it takes a long time to get served. I ordered Caldo de Res and a can of Coke, got charged almost 18 dollars. I’ve been around Storm Lake for years and been to other restaurants and ordered the same thing and got charged 3 to 4 dollars less with bigger portions. The food was very bland and not worth 18 dollars. The place is clean, polite staff and perty quite, again not very busy. I didn’t leave a tip since you have to go up to the plexiglass window and order your food, cafeteria style, no wait staff no tip. Over all my experience was lackluster and I felt overcharged for what I was served. Like I said, been to other Restaurants this week and ordered the same thing and it tasted better and was charged less for biggerportions. I will not be returning to this establishment and would recommend others to go down the street and get a better tasting meal and not get overcharged, felt like the guy behind the glass makes up the prices on the spot, like I said no prices on the menu and cash only, shady.

Hands down, the absolute BEST tacos anywhere in the Midwest. Coming from Los Angeles, I have a difficult time finding good Mexican food but this is the one I drive out of the way to get to. Reminds me of home like none other. On top of that, it’s family operated and the people here are just amazing and friendly. If you drive past here and go to some lousy chain restaurant then you’ve done yourself a great disservice!!

I lived and worked in Stormlake as a campaign staffer for over 6 months. I could not wrap my mind around the fact that this small town restaurant makes a better pupusa than anywhere in LA! Whether you’re a local or a campaign staffer, or visiting this beautiful town, MAKE SURE TO TRY A PUPUSA HERE!
