This place became my spot yo come eat, really good food the attention was amazing, know you have a waitress that is never available always on the kitchen, really bad attitude and you ask her for something she won’t even stop she will keep walking look and ignore you.
Maybe that I made her mad because I ask her to change my drink after she lest her bandaid on it!
And food wow it has change my bean pupusas tasted like does bean was burn!
And I won’t even start with the sweet platting I’ll just leave an image!!
I’ll definitely not coming back until they change the bad attitude waitress!

Wow, talk about fresh cooked food! The flavors here were outstanding!!! The rice with shrimp is to die for and the pupusas are so good!! Cooked fresh not frozen. If you are stuck in traffic or looking for a lunch spot on Clemson Blvd, definitely stop here! They also have breakfast, Honduran traditional breakfast, you should consider! Eggs are in the dish too!!
Daniela was super nice and quick to help me! Love seeing Central American food here. It is healthier and beats the Wendy’s menu next door !

The food is delicious! The pupusas are tasty, the picador is the best grilled meat around, and you can’t beat the price. It’s great for catering or serving food to large groups, and delicious for Sunday brunch or breakfast, and perfect for a quick weekday lunch.

Went there 9 months ago and the pupusas were a joke. No filling barely any cheese the rest of the food was average.Figured I’d try them again and again the pupusas had no fillers. I ordered chicharon and cheese and they came out just cheese and the cheese was yellowish. No casillo or even mozzarella. Who knows what it was. If your not going to make them right take them off the menu

Edited Review after multiple visits: La Estrella is a fairly good Salvadoran restaurant. The tajadas are delicious. With their pupusas, they have a good masa base but in every occurrence I’ve been here the filling is cooked out of the pupusas and onto the grill resulting in a oozed out black burn filling that caked on and around the pupusas with very little filling inside, given this is their namesake it’s disappointing but I’m hoping they will improve (maybe the cooks just lose attention to the griddle or the pupusas don’t have enough masa to hold in the filling). They do give generous curtido with orders that include pupusas though. I’d give them a 3.7 out of 5 and will eat here again. Not fantastic but still good.

I have been looking for pupusas since I can remember, I used to get them frozen from Kroger or from a food truck back in my hometown. It’s been years since I have found such amazing pupusas, 10/10. Thank you!
