Delicious pupusas made fresh from scratch! The kitchen is open to the dining area, so you can see the sweethearts making everything on-the-spot. It’s a warm & welcoming atmosphere, there’s a big TV playing music videos, as well as a Jukebox for additional entertainment. It’s a little “hole-in-the-wall” but there’s plenty of available seating. The cortido was good, the salsa was good, their Jalapeño pupusas, chicken pupusas, and chicharrones pupusas are all great, and what’s more- I feel great after dinner. That’s how I know it’s a couple angels in the kitchen, I can stuff my face with ooey gooey warm cheesy happiness and not feel a drop of guilt afterwards. 10/10 highly recommend

I have never had problems placing order with these people before but today (mar. 11, 2023) I m giving them a 1 star for hanging up on me 4 times because the lady didn’t know how to speak English.

Sweet people working here & the chicken cheese pupusas are very tasty. I m glad I was craving pupusas. I have a favorite pupusa place in San Mateo now. I have tried many but this is my favorite.

I can see that most of the comments are from people who don’t know the authentic taste of a 100% Salvadoran pupusa. I’ve also read that the owners don’t like bad reviews. In my opinion, they need to accept them in order to improve everything involved and grow as a business. I’ve never had such bad pupusas. In fact, we couldn’t eat them all; we had to throw them away.
I apologize for my sincere comment.

The food was delicious!! There isn’t much seating since it is relatively small, so it’s probably better to order things to go. There was definitely a language barrier even when pointing things out on their own menu, but they were very nice and helpful. Some of the other customers stepped in to help with translating between English and Spanish. Again, the food is just fantastic, so definitely give it a try!

Small space but the food was amazing. The service was excellent. We loved the pupusas and the carne asada and the fresh juice. Highly Recommended for people to try!

A fantastic hole in the wall spot for a very authentic pupusa! I ordered 2 puposas- the chicken and cheese and the bean and cheese. Both were delicious and handmade by two amazing ladies! I will definitely be back for more again soon!

BEST pupusa spot in San Mateo. Feels like I’m in my grandma’s kitchen back home, in El Salvador while here. 10/10 recommend

The pupusas here are amazing. We just found this place recently and ordered from there once. We were very impressed so we went back again to see if it was a one time thing, but the second time we went it was even better. They take a while to prepare your food but fine wine takes time. Not a lot of seating but they do take out. Excellent pupusas.

Wandering in because I saw fresh things being cooked on grill late at night. Amusing chatter from the get go. Everyone smiling.
I probably ordered wrong because this is El Salvadoran style and I ordered burrito and quesadilla; then I was told to get a papusa, which I did.
Dios mio! The best decision of my life!
Such a great blend of salty savory cheese and meat with a subtle sweetness from the cover which I assume is corn.
Amazing people. One lady asked if I was married; if she was the one making this food, I might go back for her!
Thank you
Fantastic
