Not your traditional authentic Salvadorian food. Pupusa combos come with rice… never seen that before. We had individual Pupusas,a lil undercooked, beans looked like pinto beans, The curtido was still undercooked as well. Needed a bit more fermentation with the vinegar, salsa was mehh. A bit too pricey for bland Pupusas they lacked flavor. Can they improve, yes. Service was ok.

Pupusas Express in El Cajon is hands down the best pupusa spot in San Diego. Their loroco pupusa is a must-try — fresh, authentic, and full of flavor. Honestly, every dish I’ve tried has been excellent. The food tastes homemade, the prices are great, and the service is always friendly.
Highly recommend this place to anyone craving real Salvadoran food!

Totally WORTH the Drive I live 30 minutes away and grew up in Los Angeles, this is ABSOLUTELY THE BEST Pupusas in So. Cal! Service is excellent, atmosphere is on point. Its the PERFECT place to TRY Pupusas if you have never had them. You wont be disappointed. I’ve been here twice and both times have been very happy with my orders.

If you’re looking for great salvadorian cuisine or just looking for something different and delicio, s you have to come here!! The papusas here are the best I’ve ever had no joke. What people don’t know is that a lot of care and effort goes into the food. Lady told me it takes 3 days just to get the beans prepared!! This alone speaks volumes of how they really take the time to get it right. This food hits the stomach and soul just right! The passion fruit drink and other exotic flavors are also very tasty 10 out of 10 for me on everything
