The horchata salvadoreña is incredible too – it tastes just like champurrado, rich and comforting. The customer service is always so kind and welcoming; you can tell the people here are hardworking and genuinely care about their customers.
I love this place and definitely recommend it to anyone craving authentic, flavorful food at a great price.
The pupusas were delicious along with the curtido and salsas. The fried plantains with cream and soft cheese (queso fresco) and beans spot on.
Definitely will order or dine-in again from Pupusas Central.
If this happens to you, stay motivated- delicious food awaits.
Papusas central has really friendly and welcoming employees. The atmosphere is casual but clean. They had a small and attractive market of imports mostly from El Salvador, football ⚽️ on television, and the other people who came into eat seemed just as happy with their food as we were.
We just got papusas, but with several different filings. Cheese and jalapeño is my go to, and it was very yummy. We also got just cheese papusa, beans and cheese, and chicken with cheese. Every. Single. Thing. Was delicious. Generally the person I was eating with does not like cabbage, but they liked the cabbage and salsa which is served as a side to the papusas.
We came close to closing and I asked for our food to go, but they were extremely hospitable and insisted they would be doing side work for quite awhile and encouraged us to feel welcome to eat there. I asked for our food packed to go in case we couldn’t finish it, but we ended up eating every bite there. Definitely check this place out.
It’s in a rather conspicuous part of town and as you park in the lot the place windows are noticeable blacked out, which I believe is for safety reasons. Going in we were kindly seated by one of the servers as we got close to the cashier. Server was accommodating and kindly answered all our inquiries. The place may get rather warm as it doesn’t feel as there’s air conditioner but just fans but that wasn’t that much of a bothersome. The pupusas were great, didn’t take too long at all to arrive. Burrito tasted alright and was filling. There’s the usual free chip station as alike with other Hispanic or similar themed establishments. Overall neat Salvadoran pupusas.
