First time my husband and I visited the staff was very friendly. We were seated in the bar area. Everything tasted good. Our food was very quick to come out. The crab stuffed salmon was full of flavor. The bone in New York strip was good but lacking in the flavor department. Overall it was good experience, however once they got busy the server/ bartender was very overwhelmed and had a hard time keeping up. They should consider having another server assist with the tables in the bar area.

This is a nice place , friendly servants . Our night started good . We got our drinks and ordered an appetizer . We recieved that after a short wait. It was great. We got the spinach dip and chips. Delicious. We ordered our food. ,I ordered the Red Snapper which was on special and my wife order ribs . We ate our appetizer and decide to stop and not eat it all cause we wanted to save room for our entrees. So we sat and talked and drank tea and talked and drank some more tea by this time I know a hour had passed and we hadn’t gotten our food the couple that came in a little before us had eaten and left but we were still waiting on food . We heard another customer complain to their waitress about not having food also so out waitress came over and after about an hour told me they didn’t have the red snapper I had ordered because some one beat her to it. So I didn’t get mad I just told her to give me the Prime rib. Shorty after that our food came out . It was delicious. I don’t know why they were running so far behind but that is something they need to look at . Could be costly. Other than that it’s a great place to dine.

This place was amazing. It’s a lovely little spot where even waiters helping other tables will ask if you need anything. The food was amazing as well as the drinks(they do ID). Everything was sparkling clean and our waiter had a bright smile happy to help. Portions might seem smaller if you are used to chain restaurants but after the bread and appetizer you’ll be good an full when you finish everything.

The owner was flat out drunk and very handsy with my two-year-old daughter. It made both my husband and me very upset and uncomfortable. In addition, the preparation of our meals was very slow. We waited over an hour before asking that our meals be placed in to-go boxes. Our server and the manager were very embarrassed. The manager offered me a $25 gift card and seemed to imply that she knew the owner was being very inappropriate. To be honest, our meals should have been comped- $25 does not make up for the behavior.

Came here for a nice dinner with family and left extremely disappointed. The water had a weird dirt taste. Oysters weren’t cleaned at all and were extremely sandy. Stuffed salmon had no flavour. Also the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. Absolutely not worth the price.

Waited over an hour for our food and when it finally was served all but 1 of our meals were burnt or over cooked! The manager had the protein recooked not our sides which were cold by the time the chicken and stuffed salmon were replaced. They gave us 15% off and free desserts, which I really think is unacceptable! The Shirley temple was undrinkable because apparently the sprite needed to be replaced. As expensive as it is to eat out I feel this is unacceptable and caused what was anticipated to be a nice dinner out to end in stressful situation! Will not return! I will say they were busy the Kentucky Derby was on but still doesn’t excuse poor food/ service!

What an awesome place to eat!!! The atmosphere was great and the food was wonderful. I had the pecan bourbon chicken and my wife had the crab cakes and risotto and we loved it. I highly recommend Pup’s!
