This used to be my go to place for amritsari kulcha but now they have degraded their quality a lot. I wasted my $45. Neither channa bhatura nor Amritsari kulcha is good, my stomach got upset. Never going there again. The channa tastes so bad, I thought this was the only good place for north indian channa bhatura but I was wrong. Pathetic

Food and service both are unmatched.

They customize food based on request, one of the place who even prepare parantha in mustard oil if demanded.

Worth giving a try !!

I went here for dinner with my partner yesterday.
No one else was in the restaurant, so there was ample seating and the server was very attentive.
Food came out in less than ten minutes, everything was very well prepared.

They were able to accommodate my low tolerance for spice, and my partners high tolerance for spice, which was great. I’ve encountered many indian restaurants that when asked to prepare a no spice/super mild dish, it still ends up being spicy.

We did have to purchase nan and rice separately, which I don’t love, and wish they offered one or the other included in the entrees.
Aside from that, I was very happy with what we received.

Actual restaurant was clean, and the overall design/layout is very pleasant.

We visited this restaurant for dinner on a Saturday night.
The ambiance was pleasant, but the service was severely lacking. Our server completely disregarded our requests to replace certain parts of our dishes.

Despite being around 60% occupied, the food arrived extremely late. We wanted to order more but we didn’t just to save our time

Overall, the taste of the food was good.

Here are my dish-by-dish ratings:
– Pav Bhaji: 1/5 – Avoid it at all costs. It’s nowhere near authentic pav bhaji.
– Soya Chaap: 4/5 – Flavorful, but it could be softer.
– Gobhi Paratha: 4/5 – The paratha was tasty, but the filling could be more flavorful.
– Amristsari Kulcha: 4/5 – The kulcha was delicious, but the chole weren’t particularly great.

Indian chai is more of milk and less tea flavour… Atmosphere is good and it ends there….The food is not good. Lots of food color..and not a fan of it at all.

The Amritsari fish had thick batter coated with food color. See the image for comparing the amount of batter!

Highly disappointed with the tea as well. Not worth. Had better Punjabi dishes other place!

This is easily the best Indian food you will find in the city of Windsor. Everything from the service to the presentation of the food to the taste and to the atmosphere, I felt cared for when eating here. The server shows hospitality and concern for your experience, and brings the food in a timely manner. The food itself is amazing and affordable, the best butter chicken and samosas in Windsor. The place is always playing the best Punjabi songs that are always up to date and deliver a great cultural experience to the diners. The restaurant is very comfortable and clean. This is a new household favourite and I recommend to anybody who is hungry in Windsor!!

Review for Punjabi Secrets

Punjabi Secrets truly lives up to its name, offering authentic and flavorful Punjabi cuisine that delights the taste buds.

We started with the Chana Bhatura, which was an absolute winner. The bhatura was perfectly fluffy, crispy on the outside yet soft inside, with just the right amount of chew. The chana (chickpeas) were rich and well-spiced, with a deep, earthy flavor that paired beautifully with the slight tang of the masala.

Next, we had the Amritsari Kulcha, which was a crispy, golden delight stuffed with a well-seasoned potato filling. The layers were buttery, and each bite had a satisfying crunch, complemented by the cooling yogurt alongside.

The Dal Makhani was comfort food at its finest—slow-cooked to perfection, creamy, and packed with smoky flavors. It had a velvety texture with a deep, buttery richness, making it perfect to scoop up with the kulcha.

Finally, the Chicken Tandoori was a showstopper. The chicken was incredibly juicy, with a beautiful char on the outside. The marinade had the perfect balance of smokiness, spice, and a hint of tanginess from the yogurt, making every bite burst with flavor.

Overall, the meal was a fantastic experience, offering bold, authentic Punjabi flavors. Highly recommended for anyone craving hearty North Indian food!

Where do I even start? This is definitely the best Punjabi restaurant in all of Windsor. Punjabi Secrets never disappoints. The food, atmosphere, and service are exceptional. The main server is the sweetest and he’s quick with bringing the food out (fyi all the servers are really nice). He owns the restaurant with his brother, and their passion for Punjabi cuisine is shown through their delicious food. Every visit is a 5 star experience. Please please check it out!
