Service!
Had a wonderful dining experience at Punjabi Rasoi. The food was absolutely delicious – we ordered the Dahi Ke Kebab, Ram Ladoo, Chole Bhature, and Gajar Halwa, and every single dish was outstanding. The Dahi Ke Kebab were perfectly crispy on the outside and creamy inside, and the Ram Ladoo came beautifully plated with fresh chutneys. The Chole Bhature were authentic and flavorful – the bhature were perfectly puffy and light. We finished with the Gajar Halwa which was the perfect sweet ending to our meal.
Venus Fernandez provided excellent service throughout our visit and made sure we had everything we needed. The presentation of the dishes was beautiful and really enhanced the dining experience.
Highly recommend Punjabi Rasoi for anyone craving authentic North Indian cuisine!

We came a little bit earlier for the dinner rush it seemed, even though it was 7pm, so it was completely empty. But still, the food took quite awhile to come out. We ordered the kasoori soya chaap, which is a vegan dish made with soy. I wouldn’t recommend, as the texture of very rubbery and it did not seem to take on flavor well. The potato appetizer was quite good, though I think it would go nicely on top of some rice as well. For bread we tried out the laacha paratha, which I would pass on next time because it was almost like rolled up roti, and more oily.

Food was absolutely delicious. Got the garlic naan, chicken tikka masala, lasooni gobi and paneer. Everything was super flavorful. Service was great, super accommodating to needs and respectful. Waiter Abhi made sure my friends and I were satisfied with everything. Definitely recommend coming here!!

Ordered Goat curry and plain buttered Nan. Curry had about 7pcs small pieces of meat and many of the pieces had bones. Not worth the $25 they charged.
What was supposed to be plain buttered nan, was not plain and was burnt badly. Not worth the $5/ea.
Very disappointed in my last visit there as this place used to be really good. Not sure what happened, new owners or management??

This marks my third visit for dinner. The cuisine is exceptional with lots of Punjabi vegetarian choices, the staff is delightful, and the presentation of the dishes is good. We ordered some of the tandoori items, and Chhole Bhature is one of the best in town.

Great place to bring someone on a date. It feels like stepping into an intimate restaurant but make sure you are dressed appropriately.

The food is spicy and I welcome it. The goat sukha was tender and rich in cardamom and curry spices. The chicken tikka masala was thick and worth dipping the various breads. The murg kolapuri was surprising as you could almost stand a spoon in the gravy. Finally the alleppy fish curry was a good break from all the chicken and goat. My lips had a pleasant tingling sensation even with the mango lassi as a backup.

Overall a good dinner and worth the wait.

Our all time favorite. Chola bhatura is good but this time chole were little dry and I tried makke ki roti and saag which was amazing but low on salt which is okay. Our favorite is Moong dal halwa and it was the best as always.

We, a group of 12 people were traveling to NJ and had a craving for Chole Bhature. This place opens at 11:30 and we were there sharp at 11:35. We had some reservations initially about the time we are reaching but what an amazing experience, finger licking food…All 10 on 10.. keep up the good work guys and keep serving awesome food..

Visited Punjabi Rasoi for the first time and really enjoyed it! The place was packed on Saturday evening around 8 PM, but we were seated in less than a minute. It’s a BYOB spot with a casual vibe, though the service was a bit on the slower side. While the name suggests modern Indian dining, we didn’t really find anything particularly modern — it felt more traditional, which we actually liked. We tried the Aloo Crispy Chaat (a tasty aloo tikki-style chaat), loved the dhaba-style chicken curry, and the Amritsari Dal, which was rich and creamy like maa kee daal or dal makhni. Overall, the food was flavorful, the ambience relaxed, and it’s definitely one of the better Indian food places in New Jersey. Would love to come back again!

We were in the North Brunswick area for grocery shopping and wanted to try some Indian food, especially around Kendall Park and Somerset. After checking Google Maps, we came across Punjabi Rasoi. From the outside, it didn’t look very appealing, but based on the glowing reviews and tempting food photos, we decided to give it a try – and I’m so glad we did.

The moment we stepped inside, it felt like a completely different place. The ambiance was warm and inviting, almost like a high-end gourmet restaurant. We ordered the Beetroot Tikki, Malai Kofta, Veg Diwali Handi, Tandoori Roti, and a Laccha Parantha. Not a single dish disappointed us – everything was absolutely delicious.

The service was excellent as well. I’d definitely visit again and highly recommend this place to family and friends.
